[Bug 423802] [NEW] recognition of daap shares after suspend
Public bug reported: I am running 9.04 and seem to have a problem getting banshee and other apps to see daap shares after the laptop wakes up from a suspend. The area affected seems to the auto connect portion as if I use rhythmbox to manually connect it works fine but it can not auto detect the server after a suspend. Again The apps work fine untill I suspend and wake the laptop. When I do that I have to reboot before it will see the shares automatically again. I have tried the current release along with 1.5 and see the issue in both, it is also prevalent when you use rhythmbox so I am not sure where the issue is comming from. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- recognition of daap shares after suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 415424] Re: libcairo2-dbg CRC doesn't match symbol (I suspect this is more widespread)
Two cases: 1. Built from source (with pkg-create-dbgsyms installed). Installed my locally built package with the locally built dbgsym ddeb: sudo dpkg -i libcairo2-dbgsym_1.6.0-0ubuntu2_amd64.ddeb libcairo2_1.6.0-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb The CRCs didn't match leading me to raise #423748. 2. Installed from apt repo, with the libcairo2-dbgsym from the ddeb repo and it worked fine. As far as this bug is concerned I think it's fine with the ddeb provided dbgsym packages (which I shall use in future). Once I have written a script to check the debug images I'll see if there is a more general problem and append that info to #423748. -- libcairo2-dbg CRC doesn't match symbol (I suspect this is more widespread) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415424 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 423775] Re: Installer does not check if password is strong enough
FWIW the security team said they were OK with this for the time being; the problem is essentially that (a) very few utilities are available at the point when we need to check this, e.g. not things like cracklib, (b) in the graphical installer, UI constraints require that the password strength be checked on the fly so it needs to be quick. [Bug 296784] Re: NM 0.7 nm-applet crash when connecting to Enterprise WiFi
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash- file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 291242] Re: NetworkManager 0.7 does not recognize p12 keys
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) and the problem is still here. I have a netcert-2.p12 file on my desktop, with r/x permissions set, but the network manager still cannot find that .p12 file. It's more than a little bit frustrating. -- NetworkManager 0.7 does not recognize p12 keys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/291242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Just happened again. This time I was using Xfce desktop. As usual, deleting large files separately and then running Empty trash helped. [Bug 423778] Re: DarkRoom active window caption is unreadable in Human colors
The package I chose for reporting was the one supplying me the /usr/share/themes/DarkRoom. Here are the screenshots.
