Andres, www.fluendo.com fluendo dvd player is a proprietary product which can play DVDs. Fluendo also do a pack of codecs which include among others a plugin for Windows Media format (unencrypted only). The codecs work for any gstreamer-based player but not others such as mplayer, vlc or xine. Also the DVD player is a separate app which doesn't enable DVD playback in totem or any other player which you may prefer :-(. I now have a price to compare with a new dvd $25 and fixing a noisy computer fan. And hating myself for letting 'the man' win with their propietary stuff. I prefer fluendo rather than being oblivious with a dvd player. Does that mean libdvdcss2 is ilegal in UK? Humberto, Tentei ler, inclusive várias e várias vezes, tentei com o help desk da empresa.O proxy da rede é DHCP para que o ip do meu servidor fique estático, tem que adicionar uma regra no servidor, solicitei a configuração, foi configado, o suporte da rede disse que estava tudo certo, fixei o ip que ele me passou, depois disto deu no que deu. Não tenho nenhum firewall local, como o acesso é na rede local, na mesma faixa de ip, não passa pelo firewall do servidor O estranho é que o mesmo sistema que tentei acessar está no meu note, o contrário consigo acessar, do servidor consigo acessar o sistema na minha máquina. Humerto, Não costumo esculhambar as pessoas, principalmente pois sou leigo em Linux. Estou utilizando-o há pouco mais de 2 anos, fiz um curso, porém bem basicão. Não sei quem é este cara (flash:/s3p03_00.web), o único flash que conheço é o da adobe. Dei uma pesquisada no Google e não encontrei este erro relacionado ao Linux, por isso recorri a lista. Se puder me apresentar este cara mais detalhadamente ficarei grato. De qualquer forma, obrigado pela atenção. Falei do esculhambar em relação ao histórico recente da lista, não em relação a você. Às vezes a maneira como eu escrevo é interpretada como ríspida demais. Eu também não conheço este cara, por isso assumi que era algo relacionado ao site em questão, esperando que você o conhecesse. Não conheço flash:/, e nunca vi extensão de arquivo .web Mas de alguma forma a página que você está tentando acessar busca isso. Será que não é um parâmetro dentro de algum arquivo php ou html que precisa ser preenchido corretamente (como se esse valor fosse um valor de exemplo). Não tem a ver com o Linux, mas ao sistema em PHP que você está usando. Você disse que, do servidor, consegue acessar o tal sistema em seu laptop. Logo, esse arquivo está nele, mas não no servidor, por isso o sentido inverso dá 404. [Xubuntu 12.04] Config d'écrans un peu casse tête :) ...
Bonjour la liste. (désolé , c'est un peu long). Je me confronte à un petit soucis, de configuration de XFCE (Xubuntu 12.04) avec une configuration multi-écran un peu atypique. === Contexte === Voici le schéma ( ca devrait passer en 80 caractères, désolé si ce n'est pas le cas ... Au cas ou : http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1393698208.png ) et je précise la totalité de la configuration, si cela peut donner des piste. Les rectangles représentant les écrans avec nom de machine, puis s1 pour écran principal et s2 pour écran secondaire. X : correspondant à un multiscreen Xorg (via le driver nVidia pour wks1, via xrandr pour wks6 : pourrait l'être également via le driver nVidia : le problème est identique quelque soit la méthode ) S : lien entre machines avec Synergy (wks6 en est le serveur). +-+ | wks6:s2 | +-+ ^ | X +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+ | mini:s1 |-S-| wks6:s1 |-S-| wks1:s1 |-X-| wks1:s2 | +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+ Pour info complémentaire (lié au problème actuel) : wks6:s1 = 1920x1080 wks6:s2 = 1440x900 pour le reste : mini:s1 = 1920x1080 wks1:s1 = 1920x1080 wks1:s2 = 1280x1024 Les machines sont en Xubuntu 12.04, au même niveau de mise à jour, et exécutent XFCE en version 4.8 (issue des paquets Ubuntu de la distribution precise). === Soucis rencontrés === Tout ce petit bazar fonctionne, à quelques détails prêts. Synergy a un peu de mal avec les différentes tailles d'écran, mais cela reste parfaitement utilisable. Le problème plus gênant est ciblé sur la machine wks6 dont l'écran secondaire est au dessus du principal. En effet, dans cette configuration, je souhaiterais conserver le tableau de bord et le menu XFCE en haut de l'écran s1 (écran principal). Sauf que cela pose soucis : si je met une fenêtre en plein écran sur l'écran s1 , elle prend la totalité de l'écran sans prendre en compte le fait que le tableau de bord soit présent , et je n'ai donc plus accès à la barre de titre de la fenêtre , ni aux boutons de la fenêtre maximisée. A contrario. si je met une fenêtre en plein écran sur l'écran s2, elle n'occupe pas la totalité de l'écran : il y a semble t'il l'espace du tableau de bord XFCE qui est reservé en haut de l'écran s2 alors que ce dernier est placé en haut de l'écran s1. Deuxième soucis : j'utilise guake assez fréquemment. Aucun problème dans une configuration classique, mais dans le cas présent, il s'affiche bien sur appui de la touche adéquate, mais en haut de l'écran secondaire. sauf que l'écran secondaire étant moins large que le principal, c'est inutilisable : je ne vois pas le prompt du shell :( === Palliatif mis en place , faut de mieux === Le palliatif actuel a été de placer le tableau de bord en bas d'écran, et pour une certaine cohérence dans l'utilisation, j'en ai fait de même pour les autres machines, mais j'ai vraiment du mal à m'y habituer. (avec une furieuse impression d'être sous Windows ... pas glop en somme ;) ). Ça ne résout par contre en rien le problème de guake. Ce dernier semble d'ailleurs aux dernières nouvelles abandonné par ses développeurs : si vous avez des alternatives à conseiller, je suis preneur ;) . === Solution possible === J'ai cru comprendre que les versions ultérieures de XFCE disponibles via le dépot PPA ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.12 , et utilisable sur une version 12.04 amélioraient la gestion du multi-écran, mais sans aucune certitude que cela résolve le problème actuel, et je ne souhaiterais pas risquer de me lancer dans une telle mise à niveau, si cela n'apporte rien. (je n'ai pas choisi une version LTS pour rien non plus ;) ). === Question === Quelqu'un a t'il déjà été confronté à des soucis similaires, et potentiellement me donner des pistes à suivre dans le cas présent ? Entre autres, est ce que l'upgrade en version 4.12 de XFCE est nécessaire dans le cas présent ? [Ubuntu-US-CA] Looking To Donate AMD Athlon II 2x 260 With Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
I live in Los Angeles CA and am looking to donate or just give the following computer 1. Dell 570 good working condition. Purchased new from Dell in 2010? 2. AMD Athlon II 2x 260 CPU 3. ATI 500MB Internal graphics card 3. 8GB RAM 4. 350GB Internal HDD 5. Freshly installed copy of Ubuntu 12.04 x64. I did install a few free software apps from the store which can of course easily be uninstalled 6. Dell Wired Keyboard and Mouse Monitor and Speakers not included Reason for the donation. I am a Windows user though over the years I have used Ubuntu on multiple computers. Anyway I just purchased a new Windows 8.1 computer. The AMD originally came with W7 and I upgraded it to W8 about a year ago. However, there a number of issues with running W8 on a computer with the Athlon II 2x 2xx CPU including the fact that W8 can not be upgraded. So after I recently decided that I wanted all the computers on my small network running on W8.1 I had no choice but to purchase a new computer to replace the AMD running W8. I do not have the space nor he need for the AMD computer as a result of the purchase of the new W8.1 computer. So I decided to donate/give the AMD computer but without my legally purchased Micosoft/Windows licensed software. I don't like transferring ownership of licensed software. So yesterday I replaced W8 with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on the AMD. Hence the clean installation of Ubuntu 12.04. I had installed and used Ubuntu on several computers in the past so it was no big deal to install of Ubuntu. The install wiped Windows so Ubuntu 12.04 is the only OS currently on the AMD computer. There are no strings or conditions attached except I will not ship the computer. I will only transfer it in a mutually agreed upon public location in the Hollywood area during the day time. If anyone is interested just contact me by email and we can make the preliminary arrangements for the time and place of the transfer per the conditions noted above in blue. This offer is for a limited time only. After that I will just give the computer to a computer repair business in the Hollywood area. This offer is not on a first come basis. Please state your reason for wanting or needing the computer and if more than one person is interested I will decide whom to reply to based upon the content of their email. [Bug 1286476] [NEW] Crashes computer when upgrading from libc6 2.18 to libc6 2.19
Public bug reported: using 14.04 trusty, the aptitude install or remove package tries to upgrade from libc6 2.18 to libc6 2.19 but when is upgrading, it crashes the computer (freezes without no mouse, no consoles, nothing). I turn off power and on to restart the computer. It turns out that libhybris installs its own implementation of the alternative /etc/ld.so.conf.d/x86_64-linux-gnu_EGL.conf at a higher priority than the one from mesa, but the libhybris one is missing libraries such as libwayland-egl.so.1 It's clear that there's a complex interaction between packages here. It would be nice if it didn't lead to things breaking with missing libraries. Public bug reported: After GNOME re-design of Nautilus, there is only one menu left in Nautilus, with some rarely used entries like About, Preferences, etc. The rest of the features are move to toolbar button/menus. As a results, many of Nautilus features, like Open a New Tab, Sort by Name/Type/Date, and Open in Terminal cannot be accessed through HUD. All of them require mouse clicks or shortcut keys. My suggestion is to define new menu entries for Nautilus and populate it with the functionalities that are currently only available via the toolbar buttons.
