I have the same problem on fresh 11.04 and didn't get active sheet name appear in either standard theme (tryed all 8 themes with both – Unity and Ubuntu Classic aca Gnome 2). What theme solves this for you, Kmarz? You're right. It's the theming issue. I have /home partition inherited from Lucid. Seems like I can reproduce this bug _only_ on my laptop - Compaq nx 6310. The bug _appears_ also after partition re-formatting and re-installation of Baltix 2.7rc2 (ubuntu 7.04). CD checksum twice verified. Memory test without errors. Later I was installing _the same_ OS from _the same_ install CD on another PC.
