Ele não carrega a interface gráfica. Pessoal, tenho um dell vostro 3300. Ele possui duas placas de vídeo. Uma é uma nvidia com 512 MB (off-board) e a outra é uma intel on board. Na BIOS não tenho como desabilitar a Intel. Quando tento rodar o X com a nvidia não funciona. Já tentei de tudo ( ou quase tudo ). Drivers proprietários e tudo mais. Com isso, só consigo rodar o gnome antigo. O gnome shell e o Unity não funcionam pois a Intel não tem capacidade para tal. Alguém tem um Vostro 3300 e conseguiu fazer funcionar isto? Obrigado.. Em 2007 com o Gutsy Gibbon havia pouquíssimas aplicações em 64 bites e praticamente tudo rodava em modo emulado. Hoje é diferente, a maioria dos aplicações roda sem problema. Aumentou muito a oferta de softwares 64 bits nativos, embora grande parte deles apresente desempenho igual ou inferior aos 32 bites. Na minha opinião deve-se fazer a migração, os softwares rodam bem tanto no modo emulação como em 64 bites. Particularmente eu quase não tenho que resolver conflitos de incompatibilidade. É a lei da oferta e procura, quanto maior a procura por aplicativos 64 bites maior será a oferta e mais ganharemos em desempenho e estabilidade. [Ubuntu-BR] Flashplayer e Ubuntu 9.04 64bits
Pessoal, tinha perguntado a voçês uns dias atrás como andava o flashplayer no ubuntu 64. Muitos disseram que estavam sem problemas. Testei o flash da própria Adobe via apt. Este instala o 32 bits e dá problema. Segui o link que haviam enviado da própria adobe para o novo flash em 64 bits. Coloquei ele em /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. Funciona porém a toda hora dá segmentation fault depois que eu coloquei ele lá dentro. Instalei outros flashplayers (os free) que o próprio firefox indicou, um de cada vez, porém não funcioname de forma perfeita. Alguém tem alguma boa novidade a respeito disto? Não sei se tu já solucionaste este teu problema. Mas o que já vi sobre isto estou descrevendo agora. Essa interface eth0:avahi carrega o endereço de APIPA 169.x.x.x quando não chega a um servidor de dhcp. Não chega por estar sem cabo ou por não ter um servidor de DHCP na rede. Porém vi um bug esses dias em que uma máquina que estava na rede com servidor de dhcp habilitado porém só habilitava essa interface avahi e não conseguia entrar em rede. Ou seja, não ganhava um ip desta rede. O mais curioso é que quando eu executava #dhclient eth0 eu ganhava ip normalmente. Neste caso, como não consegui receber automaticamente um ip na hora do boot e precisava a todo momento utilizar o dhclient, configurei o IP fixo. O meu note quando estou com o processo powernowd (System/Administration/Services/Cpu Frequency Manager ou /etc/init.d/powernowd stop/start) desativado a bateria vai em aproximadamente 1h40. Quando eu ativo isto ele vai para 2h30. O que muda? Quando está ativado este processo, os dois núcleos (core2duo) trabalham a aproximadamente 1,0Mhz cada um. Quando é necessário mais processamento ele aumenta para 1,6Ghz. Ou seja, aumenta o clock quando precisa. Olá, sempre li, sempre usei, e já caiu na LPI que o SWAP é o dobro da memória RAM. Porém se você não quiser utilizar, não utilize. O SWAP não serve pra deixar mais rápido ou mais lento o sistema. Ela é utilizada quando não existe mais espaço na RAM para a execução de programas. Os programas que não estão em execução mas estão digamos abertos vão para o SWAP para que outros programas possam ser abertos e executados. Observe o que eu disse antes que o SWAP não serve para deixar mais rápido ou mais lento, mas se você tiver um sistema com pouca memória RAM e estiver utilizando swap, por consequência o seu sistema não vai ter a mesma velocidade. Considerações. Todos falaram que não tem diferença alguma... Mas vcs tem como provar que realmente não tem ganhos. Eu estou utilizando uma versão i386. Mas senti diferença quando sai da versão ia64. Não acredito terem criado um novo tipo de processador para não fazer diferença... so sorry!!! A propósito, não é apenas o kernel e sim todas as lib's. Quando vc instala um ubuntu 64 por exemplo, é criado um diretório lib64 senão me engano. Lista, é com grande prazer que gostaria de comunicar que existem dois drivers para as placas da série i910. Eu removi a xserver-xorg-video-i810 e instalei xserver-xorg-video-intel. E agora a resolução 1280x800 está funcionando.
