[Bug 394500] Re: [Karmic] processes holding /dev/dsp* or /dev/snd/pcm* cause pulseaudio: card not found - Null Output / Dummy Output

Same problem with Gutsy working on my Toshiba Satellite A105 - S4074. kernel: 2.6.22-13-generic As far as I remember most of keys were working on 7.04 and after update to 7.10 but stopped to work after next updates of 7.10. To make some of keys working on 7.04 (especially multimedia keys such as play/pause, stop, forward, backward or open browser, brightness up, brightness down and switch video output) I had to update my Phoenix BIOS. Re: [Bug 134562] Re: [gutsy]gnome-panel hangs
You're right it's probably because of compiz-fusion. Currently I've been using CF compiz 1:0.5.2-0ubuntu4 from deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb gutsy eyecandy repository. Even during writing this email it has also happened and this time also hanged computer. I had to reset my laptop. (fortunately this email draft has been written down) I don't have compiz from Ubuntu repositories but I'll install it and send you a feedback. -- Piotr Szczygieł Prezes Koła Naukowego Informatyki AE +48 504 102 768 http://kni.ae.krakow.pl/ -- [gutsy]gnome-panel hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134562 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Sebastien Bacher pisze: why do you use a non Ubuntu version rather than the gutsy one? As I see non Ubuntu version has much more features like additional included Window animations and enhanced Cube settings. Maybe I'm also familiar with Beryl-like Settings Panel. Re: [Bug 134562] Re: [gutsy]gnome-panel hangs
This time I have disabled both CF from unofficial and official repository and I occurred the same problem. I realized that it is probably caused by mozilla-Thunderbird. It hasn't happened for the first time. Sometimes when I'm receiving new emails thunderbird hangs. I can't close it and then gnome-panel hangs.
