[Bug 328097] Re: preseeding partitionning isn't working anymore hardy 8.04.2

2009-02-27 Thread Marc Gariépy
Removing the tailling space resolv the issue, but the preseed file was
working before the 8.04.2 and the file wasn't edited between then and
now.

cjwatson mgariepy: are you sure it wasn't edited in any way? this is the sort
of thing that can easily creep in by accident
cjwatson I'm pretty certain that none of the preseed-file handling code
changed in 8.04.x, and this is right at the bottom level
mgariepy yeah, the preseed file is in subversion r1196 | mgariepy |
2008-08-14 18:22:44 -0400 (Thu, 14 Aug 2008) | 1 line
cjwatson well, I'm not sure what could have caused it to work, then, but I
know it's broken as-is :-)
mgariepy plus i had like 35 server isntall with it :)
cjwatson that's definitely the thing causing the failure - you can see it
stopping there in the trace

dhclient eth0 didn't work.

[Bug 318959] Re: Desktop-profiles doesn't export a correct XDG_CONFIG_DIRS

2009-01-19 Thread Marc Gariépy
As a workaround, i simply add a test in my file and run update-profile-cache
again.
the file /var/cache/desktop-profile/activated_profiles is removed and my
profile now are working

== /etc/desktop-profiles/rl-profiles.listing ==
xdg_config_dirs_rl;XDG_CONFIG;/etc/Profiles/Rl-gnome/etc/xdg;10;$(true);Default
value for gnome-appserv RL
xdg_data_dirs_rl;XDG_DATA;/etc/Profiles/Rl-gnome/share;10;$(true);Default value
for gnome-appserv RL
== end file ==

Since the update-profile-cache only make cache for static entry this
diseable the cache file.

[Bug 200440] Re: Exporting video fails

2008-11-26 Thread Marc Gariépy
I've been testing this application on intrepid 64-bit and it doesn't
work,

When there is a jpg file in the frame, there is a video output of this
frame but all the other picture are dropped..

I have been trying the upstream version too and it doesn't work better
then the one in ubuntu.

This program should be able to deal with any file format that it let you
import, so we could make a video of png and jpg files.

Since it copy all the files into the same directory it should be able to
convert them to a format that the encoder support.

[Bug 117736] Re: pam_mount unable to unmount needs root priv

2008-06-06 Thread Marc Gariépy
I've been looking in the diff of the pam source package for the
parameter causing the privilege drop, but i've not been able to find
such parameter. I looked for drop and privilege and root and found
nothing useful. Configure from rules file doesn't have options that
apprents to drop privileges. I didn't saw any reference to this options
in the documentation of PAM. So, what is different between pam in Ubuntu
and in other distributions?

I have tested the pam_mount on madriva 2007.0, build it from the ubuntu
source and it work fine on mandriva. The problem seem really to be in
pam under Ubuntu.
