Yes, probably. We will make a call with the dates you will propose
(26/10 ? 2/11? ...). But keep in mind that our contribution is just a
part of the event, the availability of Ubuntu-be members for speeches
and demos is more important IMHO.

Have a nice day

Hello,

As lilit already know (I heard it yesterday), there is Unifestival the
same day.

So we will change this date and communicate the new one asap.

W-E it's not really a good idea... mainly because we want students to come.

Would it be easy for you to get volunteers if we do it on friday night ?

Hello,

I added our party in Brussels, on the 21st of October. I took the
liberty of re-arranging the parties listed, according to their dates.

I'll update our party's page as more info becomes available.

see you soon,

First things first : are commitments already done for October 18th or
are we going to follow Julien's suggestion ? I would like to know

I have a location here in Vleteren, that can be used.

It is very close to ... sint sixtus . be, the "beer" brewers ... ;-)

It is an old school, I suppose that even people would be able to sleep
in the several rooms/classes of the (partly unused) complex ...

For the moment I installed 3 computers with XFCE4 and fluxbox, 100, 166
and, yeah, 200 Mhz Pentiums...
I choose for netbsd, debian and xubuntu ...
96Mb is enough, although I'm still searching 16/32Mb simms .. (only 2
comps can run due to lack of memory ;-)

VERSION FRANCOPHONE

Salut,

inconcevable ?

onmogelijk is?
We moeten ons echt motiveren.

It may be a good idea to reserve this page for all release party's:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ReleaseParty
Here we can post wich party's in Belgium are confirmed.
And to create new wiki pages with all info for each individual party's like
these for example:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ReleaseParty/Hasselt20/10/2007
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ReleaseParty/Liege18/10/2007
(these pages are not created yet, just an example)
Make announcements on the mailinglists and the forums for the party and wait
until people subscribe on the wiki.

18/10/2007 is close, but with the beta and all the updates you'll have a
good idea of the distro when it is released.
I don't think there will be much changed if the official release is delayed.

It should be the day of the release, the 18th of October (I hope Gutsy
to not be delayed :) ).

Re: [Ubuntu-be] [Fwd: Gutsy Release Parties]

2007-09-03 Thread Bruno De Bondt
Hi all,

Indymedia.be would like to host (or help organising) a release party in
Brussels again. It would be of course possible to have the party at our
place (Haachtstesteenweg, near the Botanique), but we would be happy to
help organising an event at another location (note that our office is
easy to reach by public transport, we have space enough, etc).

It should be possible to have parties in different places in the country
no? Even bilingual parties ;-)

Are people planning dates yet? Might be handy to spread the dates
somewhat if possible, so people who cannot come to one party, might come
to another.

Laurent: did you book any space yet for the party?

see you soon,

2007-09-01 Thread Bart Broeckx
Hi Laurent, snulkid, Ubuntero's

Do we have to organise only "one" Release Party? Why don't we organise a
party in each province?
Until now there are no french speaking Ubuntero's involved in the Release
Party in Hasselt. Will you come?
When is the Release Party in Liege? Link? Maybe I'll come ...

Indeed. I guess not all Dutch-speaking activists will come to Liège.

I saw Alex at "Retrouvailles" in Liège this afternoon, where LiLiT has a
booth. He explained he was a bit disconnected because he had to deal
with a home move. He will be soon back to prepare the party in Liege.

Have a nice Sunday

2007-09-01 Thread Laurent Sibilla
I already told about a release party at ULg many times... And now I hear
about this party... I guess ubuntu-be cannot be at 2 place at the same
time ? Or may be french speaker and dutsch speaker ?

I had contacts with Alexandre Ficelle about this but last mails didn't
get answers...
