[Bug 72412] Trash applet sometimes wrongly display empty trash option
Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft (Gnome 2.16). It sometimes (randomly ?) happens that the trash applet has the empty trash option active in its context menu although the trash is empty. Putting something in the trash and emptying it fixes the wrong behaviour (the menu entry is then greyed out). [Bug 72415] cacert.org root certificate inclusion
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox i'd have thought that, for sure, this bug would exist. after much searching, i am unable to find it. the long and the short of it is that firefox (and epiphany!) packages on ubuntu should have the cacert.org root certificate included. the reasons for doing so are explained in this well-written mozilla bug report and many of its comments: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215243 in comment #20 of that bug report, Frank Hacker [EMAIL PROTECTED], who claims to be the person tasked with developing the mozilla.org policy on inclusion of root CA certs approves the inclusion (2 and a half years ago!) but there has been considerable foot-dragging and objections from the person who would actually implement the change. before this comment, however (Frank was a bit slow with a reply) Chris Hoffman [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mozilla engineering director) notes that Distributors can add or delete certs and modify trust bits on certs in the default db.. i believe this to be a valid interim solution while upstream gets their stuff sorted out. there's a question of if the modified firefox will still be able to be branded as mozilla firefox but this is nothing that ubuntu isn't already dealing with. in any case, this does not affect epiphany. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- cacert.org root certificate inclusion https://launchpad.net/bugs/72415 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 72417] Uniwill 258KA doesn't resume after suspend/hibernation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpid Hello, i have Uniwill 258KA laptop (A64 3000+, SIS755+SiS963L, 1280RAM, ATI MR9700 128Mb) Before upgrading to Edgy when i did try to hibernate or suspend and there wasn't any success. After upgrading when i try to suspend to goes to sleep, but when i try wake up my screen is black and usb devices doesn't works (my usb-mouse doesn't working). HDD is turning ON, but activity led is always black. I tried to change acpi_support - ACPI_SLEEP_MODE to standby, and then when i suspend, HDD and monitor turns OFF, but all FANs are still works. And in this case laptop resuming normally. Now about hibernating. When i click hibernate, it writing RAM to HDD and then laptop turns off. When i power on it, it boots, then reading information from HDD, and i see white line on the screen, then it becomes completely black, monitor's light is turned ON, CPU is working a 100% (and FAN it working at 100% too), HDD sometimes reading or writing, and nothing more. I would like to use normal suspend. Maybe i should try to use APM? But how i can do it? :) And will it power-off normally? ** Affects: acpid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Uniwill 258KA doesn't resume after suspend/hibernation https://launchpad.net/bugs/72417 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
