[Bug 255309] [NEW] f-spot crashes after export to Facebook is finished
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot On ubuntu hardy (all updates) with f-spot 0.4.3.1. I started uploading photos to Facebook. To this point, I uploaded 4 albums, with 7, 60, 60 and 15 photos respectively. What happened: After uploading the first album, f-spot kept being alive. After each of the other 3 albums, though, it crashed to the desktop. Expected: f-spot should not crash after uploading photos. I'll attach the console output of the last crash. ** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- f-spot crashes after export to Facebook is finished https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255309 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 254939] Re: No Mouse/Keyboard since update and restart on evening of 4th August.
This isn't completely fixed. While the mouse and keys are generally working, the latest package now breaks the middle arrow pad and insert, home, page up, delete, end, and page down keys. The num-pad representation of these keys still function. I tried resetting the my keyboard layout from the gnome control center from Dell/Dell to the default (evdev-managed keyboard) but that made no difference. I noticed that the left arrow is now acting as the compose key (and not right-alt as i have configured in the layout options). apparently openjdk (and maybe sun-java) do need mdns in some situations; in other situations, where you do not want to have an avahi daemon installed on a (server) system, you do want to be able to install openjdk without avahi. now, ia32-sun-java depends on ia32-libs, which would make the installation of lib32nss-mdns unconditional. but assuming that ia32-sun-java is mostly installed on the desktop, we should re-add this dependency for hardy-proposed. for intrepid, it should be a recommend again (installed by default), but can be removed). another possibility for intrepid might be a change in the nsswitch.conf as discussed in the previous comment. -- firefox 32bits cannot navigate on remote web pages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220377 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 148408] Re: [M6 LY] System lockup when switching VT's or Resume from Suspend
Some comments in the Debian bug report might indicate that it is a timing issue, and that anything slowing down the switch (like busy CPU, debug tracing, and perhaps accidentally doing a POST) works around it. The old patches mentioned here do not apply to the current code. Sparkling the code with microsleeps could work. I am not so optimistic about how much efforts the Xorg driver maintainers would invest in these old cards, but it might help if some of you having the card could do some testing. Try for instance attaching to Xorg with strace over the network from another computer. Or use gdb (also remotely) to narrow down where it hangs - for instance with breakpoints. -- [M6 LY] System lockup when switching VT's or Resume from Suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. [Bug 255342] [NEW] Freedesktop's autostart makes (almost) impossible having both KDE4 and GNOME installed in the same machine
Public bug reported: I found some annoyances while trying the new KDE 4.1 in Ubuntu Intrepid: - When I started the KDE4 session, many applications launched automatically (AWN was especially annoying since it does not behaves well with the KDE 4 compositor). They are located in ~/.config/autostart so you cannot enable/disable them in a session-specific way. Therefore, I had to backup this directory and remove the GNOME-only entries. - When I switched back to my GNOME session, some KDE applications launched automatically (Kwallet, etc.) so I had to repeat the previous step but removing the links to KDE applications this time. Currently, every time I want to check the progress of the newly released KDE packages I have to modify the contents of the directory, change the session, modify the directory again and switch back to the GNOME session. That is preventing people from having both Desktop Environments installed in the same machine or using isolated applications from the other Desktop Environment.
