Re: [Bug 350680] Re: IBM T42 crashes on wake up from hibernate
I installed Karmic on a fresh HD, but I haven't done any updates since that install from the iso - perhaps it's running a stale kernel as well. I've been putting off Jaunty's kernel updates since they showed up - I hope to get to that this weekend and see if there's any change. I'll check out that stress-test, though. [Bug 368394] Re: netbook launcher mouse focus is off
I have the same issue with Netbook remix 9.04 running on a Travelmate C110 tablet (standard 1024x768 screen). Mouse mappings seem to work perfectly in all of the windows (firefox etc) apart from the launcher / desktop itself. I would agree that the issue seems to be to do with screen width. It seems as if the launcher is expecting my monitor to be widescreen and has mapped accordingly. The central section has space for four icons. When my mouse is over the 1st, the 3rd is highlighted, 2nd to 4th. When it reaches halfway however, the problem reverses and becomes 3rd to 1 etc. It appears as if the screen is being mapped in from the sides as a widescreen and then when it runs out of space on my old width screen, bounces back to the edges. This isn't a problem on the normal desktop for jaunty with my computer. [Bug 416905] [NEW] Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion dv2500 Notebook PC hibernate/resume failure
Public bug reported: Resuming from hibernate gave me the Ubuntu boot screen, which said the laptop was waking up. After a bit, that disappeared, the screen remained blank, nothing was responsive, and no USB devices plugged in appeared to be getting power. After ~5 minutes I forced the laptop to power off, started it again, and aside from this problem report everything seemed fine. When I hibernated, all I had running was Firefox (2 windows, definitely over 5 tabs each), Dropbox, Ubuntu One, and I believe I also had Terminal open with two tabs. I believe Ubuntu One and Dropbox were both idle. The BIOS identifies this as a Pavilion dv2500, but the actual model is HP Pavilion dv2622ca. Not sure if that makes a difference here, but I know the difference has caused problems for other people trying to use the HP recovery discs to restore their Vista installs. ProblemType: KernelOops Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from resuming properly. Sorry for late reply. I need more time to invetigate what happen to the patch actually. The patch add some API and is mainly used by anjal. [Bug 416909] Re: arora doesn't honor Ctrl+Z after closing a tab
I think that Ctr+Z is more ergonomic. Moreover, I don't see the action in the menu, so it is hidden in my point of view. I understand your answer, but I think that just like Firefox isn't a valid argument :-) I have looked in the menu, and I have found that there is an history of closed tabs, it's good. But it doesn't keep the history of a tab. In konqueror, the undo action restore the last closed tab and its history. [Bug 363523] Re: [TOSHIBA Satellite A55] suspend/resume failure
I'm not 100% clear if this is a fault in the final part of the suspend or during the resume. I'm currently thinking we should look at the resume phase. Please can you follow through the debugging steps as described in: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend Please attach the dmesg output once you have rebooted the machine so that I can check to see which driver is causing the problem. [Bug 416854] Re: Update qbzr to 0.14
Because QBzr is the plugin for Bazaar VCS and Ubuntu Karmic will have bzr 2.0 inside, there is should be used QBzr at least of version 0.13.1, otherwise QBzr 0.11 will be incompatible with recent bzr. Using QBzr 0.14 is the better option. -- Update qbzr to 0.14 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416854 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
