[Bug 499399] Re: unable to install or start as live-cd daily build 22.12.09 Lucid
No improvement on the message of 2010-01-17, using the alternate CD image of 24 January and just doing a command-line install. I got a glimpse of part of a message "NAK bailout" before the recovery menu screen covered it up. Also, it's affecting my network hardware. The ethernet temporarily acquires a new MAC address, ethernet address of eth1 instead of eth0, and a new IP address from the router (which thinks it's a different machine). This is a nuisance because I'm running a couple of server packages on it and it confuses the other computers on the LAN. Turning the power off at the wall restores the address etc to normal. -- unable to install or start as live-cd daily build 22.12.09 Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/499399 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 410792] Re: Rhythmbox: Song progress and Search bars should be in the same VBox
Very much opposed to this change. The alignment of the search box and filters with the music library communicates that the two are related. By pushing it over, with the currently playing track stealing the highlight (assuming a left-to-right locale) to boot, that doesn't happen. This VBox now has two completely different roles and is not visually aligned with anything. That's not to say I disagree with tinkering with the UI. To start off, my claim that the search-related buttons are positioned sanely points at another thing: the playback controls are detached from the playing track. If two things are going to share a row, perhaps it should be those. This demands some deeper thinking, though, not just pushing the blocks as they are... -- Rhythmbox: Song progress and Search bars should be in the same VBox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410792 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 452874] Re: inline images do not go out when sending emails in evolution
antoiner: thanks for the link to the patch. It is pretty much the responsibility for the package maintainer to simply apply the patch. (It is as simple as running 'apt-get source evolution-rss', adding the patch to debian/patches, and uploading the source package.) I'm familiar with building packages for myself, but not participating in proper package maintenance. So here's a debdiff for Lucid which contains the patch — not sure if it will be useful or not. I can also provide one for Karmic on request, but again — I don't know whether making them is a wasted effort or not. ** Attachment added: "evolution-rss-inline-images-lucid.debdiff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38438408/evolution-rss-inline-images-lucid.debdiff -- inline images do not go out when sending emails in evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452874 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 464648] Re: Broadcom STA wireless driver package installation crashes the system
I'm not sure if I have the same problem, as my system did not crash immediately after enabling the sta driver. Rather, it appears to work perfectly. However I have been having frequent kernel panics, which I am thinking more and more are relating the the wireless driver, as they seem to happen only when using wireless and most frequently during periods of high Internet access (downloading large files, etc.). As the bcmwl module is the only thing that is in kernel-space and would be affected by higher periods of internet use. Its definitely a ghost of a bug I've been chasing, but it has affected multiple installations of Karmic on this laptop (Dell Latitude D630). I'm going to try compiling the driver myself as it looks like broadcom released a new version on 9/17 which may have not made it into Karmic... -- Broadcom STA wireless driver package installation crashes the system https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/464648 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 510853] Re: Installer crashed
@Sergiu: You are right i used the manual partioning. Michaels idea works, delete line 205 mod.breadcrumb.setText(self.get_string(breadcrumb)) and enter/add text = self.get_string(breadcrumb) if text: mod.breadcrumb.setText(text) I worked just fine with the image from January 22. I hate to "bug" people, what is your opinion Michael should I open a new bug and declare this one as resolved? -- Installer crashed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
