[Bug 513932] Re: [i945gme] Keyboard not working after upgrade to Lucid
sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup does NOT work for me. Keyboard works in grub, but when selecting recovery mode, keyboard is dead at the recovery console. Trackpad does work however. Macbook pro gen 2, xorg-edgers. Effect seems kernel dependent: 2.6.32 (stock lucid) keyboard doesn't work. 2.6.33 (kernel mainline) keyboard works. 2.6.34 (kernel mainline) keyboard doesn't work. -- [i945gme] Keyboard not working after upgrade to Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/513932 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 517070] Re: plugging in a usb drive hangs system
Hi Vlad, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 517070 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. [Bug 569651] [NEW] shout2send plugins is bad
Public bug reported: The shout2send plugin does not work. If I try to send a file with gstreamer to send to an icecast2 server, like so: gst-launch filesrc location=audio/boogie_boarder/pizza_hero/Sparks.mp3 ! decodebin ! audioconvert ! lame name=enc ! shout2send mount=stream.mp3 port=8000 password=00tspdmn ip=192.168.2.99 the stream does not play. The icecast2 error.log shows: [2010-04-24 13:22:15] WARN source/get_next_buffer Disconnecting source due to socket timeout The bug appears to be in the shout2send plugin that is provided in lucid (10.04). If I replace the plugin (/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstshout2.so) with the libgstshout2.so file from karmic (9.10), then stream plays with no errors (no socket timeout). This bug is 100% repeatable on my system. If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 512510 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One is not working properly for you. Network-manager is not installed if the output of that command shows "Installed: (none)". [Bug 569650] [NEW] bluez fails to connect
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bluez When trying to connect to a remote device via python-bluez the connect method fails in a script that previously worked reliably. The device discovery works correctly, but hangs when connecting (via connect method), and eventually throws an error. The problem could be within python-bluez, but I don't think that package has been updated with Intrepid. Additionally, when I try to connect another system though Blueman, I get the same type of behavior - the device appears to get recognized (device discovery presumably), but alas fails to connect with an error. It seems like such a fundamental problem, that it makes me think that perhaps it's a configuration error. However, the client/server application I have been running for months stably with on 9.04/9.10 and now on 10.04 and about a week ago it stopped working after a system update. Thanks. [Bug 511759] Re: Webcam doesn't work on dell latitude E5400
Hi Freyr, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 511759 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: needs-kernel-logs ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kj-triage ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Webcam doesn't work on dell latitude E5400 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/511759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 511490] Re: Your system might become unstable now and might need to be restarted (kernel-oops)
Hi dr.srinivasa, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 511490 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. [Bug 353126] Re: Compiz / vnc screen refresh with nvidia-restricted driver/VirtualBox/ATI fglrx driver using X.org
Hi again, Just reading Rocko's post #239, I'm more convinced that there's more to this than just Xdamage. The problem does *not* occur and the -noxdamage workaround is *not* needed if one turns off all compiz special effects, right? So, doesn't that suggest that it's not just an Xdamage issue, but rather an interaction between Xdamage and compiz in special-effects mode? I guess to me a key question is why *do* things work with compiz in non-special-effects mode? Surely Xdamage is used by compiz in any mode, no? [Bug 543220] Re: TV display cycles out of sync - C51PV [GeForce 6150]
I never did figure out what caused this, I ended up just doing a fresh reinstall and it came up fine. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- TV display cycles out of sync - C51PV [GeForce 6150] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543220 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 569530] Re: vmbuilder create ubuntu-kvm directory even when using --raw
This is especially tricky as it won't let you create two raw vms (without specifying --destdir) in a row from the same directory. This is the output for the second run: 2010-04-25 06:21:52,984 ERROR : ubuntu-kvm already exists Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/vmbuilder", line 24, in cli.main() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/VMBuilder/contrib/cli.py", line 81, in main raise VMBuilderUserError('%s already exists' % destdir) VMBuilder.exception.VMBuilderUserError: ubuntu-kvm already exists -- vmbuilder create ubuntu-kvm directory even when using --raw https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569530 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 510615] Re: tainted kernel ioremap
Hi VPC, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 510615 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag.
