[Bug 515698] Re: subwoofer does not working
I've had this problem and was about it left me thinking one of these things : Either Ubuntu is bugged, or my sound card is bad. Also thought that my speakers were bad cause the sound had bad quality. FIXED THE PROBLEM by manually adjusting setting pins on the sound card (yes on the hardware itself). Now it works perfectly and the sound itself is of such higher quality. -- subwoofer does not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 206952] Re: suspend only works once
I have this bug now in Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) on my Thinkpad R51 since a so called update this week. After a reboot/login suspend works once. The next suspend doesn't work, the moon led keeps blinking and on only a power off/power on cycle can bring the R51 back to life. I am getting a bit tired of this Ubuntu cycle of works-broken-works- broken-works-broken. Is it so difficult to fix a bug once and for all? [Bug 478063] Re: (Un)installing multiple applications with Ubuntu Software Center should be easier
I just tried to report the same bug. If you want to install multiple software, the selection task becomes too slow, because each time you select a software its installation begins and the control is lost for few seconds in this action. The oldest way (the one of Ubuntu 8 or earlier), there were two steps, one for selecting packages (by checking boxes) and another one for telling software-center to begin installation (by pressing INSTALL button), was much more better for multiple packages installing. I dont known why is it so important to begin the installation immediately after each software selection, but I respect that decision because I think that if there were a change there must be a reason for that change too. So it could be something optional, like a Install later button, or simply an option in a preferences-advanced menu. -- (Un)installing multiple applications with Ubuntu Software Center should be easier https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 529714] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in _nss_wins_gethostbyname_r()
I get the same issue on a 64-bit lucid lynx installation. In my case, temporarily removing wins from /etc/nsswitch.conf, rebooting, then starting Rhythmbox and unchecking the Ubuntu One Store and Lastfm plugins, then adding wins back in to /etc/nsswitch.conf and rebooting was enough to allow Rhythmbox to work without crashing. If I only unchecked the Ubuntu One Store plugin but kept the Lastfm pluging, I could run Rhythmbox but it would crash if I clicked the Lastfm icon in Rhythmbox. I really miss having the Lastfm plugin - hope this is fixed soon. [Bug 584453] Re: openoffice problem greys out on saving
[This is an automatic notification.] Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect -p openoffice.org-core 584453 This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to Change Non-Private data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected.
