Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. [Bug 788637] [NEW] ipv6 conntrack fails to match certain packets with fragmentation header
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.32-31-server Linux kernels prior to 2.6.34 have a bug which causes IPv6 packets containing a fragmentation header with offset=0 and the MF bit clear to not be properly matched by IPv6 conntrack. These kinds of packets are becoming much more common on the Internet because RFC6145-compliant NAT64 implementations specify that this header should be added to any translated IPv4 packet with the DF bit clear. I have attached the upstream patch that fixed the problem in 2.6.34. I have confirmed that it applies to Lucid's 2.6.32-31 and fixes the problem. To demonstrate the problem more clearly, here is what happens when stock Ubuntu 2.6.32-31 from Lucid tries to match a NAT64-translated HTTP session to Google: Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination 40 30503 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state ESTABLISHED 0 0 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state RELATED 5 686 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state NEW 24 1735 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state INVALID Note all the INVALID packets, and there should only be a single NEW packet. With the patch applied, here is the result: Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination 66 32707 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state ESTABLISHED 0 0 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state RELATED 180 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state NEW 0 0 ACCEPT all * * ::/0 ::/0 state INVALID This is the correct and expected result. Please apply the attached patch to the Lucid kernel so that Lucid can be used as an IPv6 stateful firewall. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788637 Title: ipv6 conntrack fails to match certain packets with fragmentation header -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 788642] [NEW] pdf print job hangs abd blocks the queue
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups We have some PDF files that jam the print queue on cups 1.4.6 (natty). Identical print job is quickly printed on the same printer if it is printed over a cups 1.4.4 (maverick). ps shows a process pstopdf (poppler-utils) that runs infinite with 100% cpu usage. Changing the printer URL to use ipp: instead of lp: does not change anything. The spool file looks ok to me: i can open it in adobe reader. Cups log files do not show a single error line, even in debug mode. I also cannot convert the spool file manually to PostScript by pdf2ps (ghostscript), it also hangs forever. Printer is a PostScript capable device. So by upgrading from MAverick to Natty, the print server gets unusable. I will roll back to Maverick for production use for now, but that does not mean that i don't care about that issue. The PDF i use was originally generated with OpenOffice3.1 and recreating it with LibreOffice3.2 does not change anything. I could track it down to 5 pages in the pdf. These pages contain some transparencies, this is just a hint on where the bug is. Unfortunately i have no idea how to further debug. Help appreciated. cups: Installed: 1.4.6-5ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.4.6-5ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.4.6-5ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788642 Title: pdf print job hangs abd blocks the queue -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 788648] [NEW] mouse pointer flickering with fldigi 3.21.9
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz Ubuntu 11.04 (classic, not running Unity) fldigi 3.21.9 The mouse pointer flickers when positioned within fldigi and then goes away when I stop moving the mouse. I don't care for this. Is this a user option that I need to set or something with Ubuntu 11.04? I don't see this on XP and I don't remember it on 10.10. Unfortunately, it's now not easy to boot up in 10.10 (even though I intalled 11.04 as a dual boot system) due to an apparent problem with the grub2 boot loader with 11.04.
