[Bug 858425] Re: g++ has a new syntax complaint
This is most certainly a bug in your code caught by the stricter compiler. [Bug 832150] Re: ubuntu desktop unity. Mouse at the left side doesn't reveal launcher
I'm seeing this too on a freshly installed Oneric Beta 2. It happens sometimes (but not everytime!) that I can't reveal the launcher via mouse when I have a maximized window (which should work by just moving the mouse to left screen side), only Alt+F1/Super works. [Bug 857397] Re: Modal dialogue from update-manager does not appear in unity's spread, leading to confusion
I don't seem to be able to record a correctly-encoded screencast with recordmydesktop... I'll attach a couple of screenshots instead. The "Not all updates can be installed" window can be forced to appear by deliberately breaking the APT index. I can do this with a conflicting version of libcogl I happened to have in my cache from a recent update: sudo dpkg -i --force-all /var/cache/apt/archives/libcogl2_1.7.8-1_amd64.deb The index can be brought back to sanity with "sudo apt-get -f remove", of course. Then, open update-manager and wait for the "Not all updates can be installed" window to pop up. Observe that there are two arrows on the left of the update-manager launcher icon, correctly indicating the existence of two windows. Press the icon to trigger spread mode, and only the main window will appear. As I mentioned in the report, this is very confusing when both windows are on different desktops. ** Attachment added: "update-manager windows before triggering problem" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/857397/+attachment/2454579/+files/update-manager-on-open.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/857397 Title: Modal dialogue from update-manager does not appear in unity's spread, leading to confusion To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/857397/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: This is happening with a new Oneiric beta 2 install on an Acer Aspire One 522. [Bug 838669] Re: Keep default layout dialog is not localized in Finnish
I've done a partial merge of translations from Debian for this (up to Debian release 1.63), which gets us at least some of the translations. I've published the merge here: lp:~vorlon/console-setup/lp.838669 However, in looking at the history I see that this bug was also present in natty, so I'm not sure if this warrants a last-minute update: - few people will see this question since it won't be shown by default - of those who will, only one person so far has raised a bug about it - the console-setup package is a major merge pain (we haven't been caught up with Debian since before the squeeze release, and possibly much longer), and I don't want to make this worse with my cherry-pick. Colin, can you have a look at this branch and see if you think this will make problems for merging console-setup later? (As an aside, would it make sense for you or I to stage a full upstream merge of console-setup for p, so that we can land it early after opening, given how this merge seems to always be too big to tackle by the time we look at it?) ** Changed in: console-setup (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: console-setup (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Colin Watson (cjwatson) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838669 Title: Keep default layout dialog is not localized in Finnish To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/console-setup/+bug/838669/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 858450] [NEW] lcd flickers after dpms cycle
Public bug reported: After installing Oneiric beta 2 on a Acer Aspire One 522 with an AMD C-50 chipset, when the screen is shut off with dpms and comes back on, the LCD flickers. The longer the screen is turned off, the more severe the flickering is when it is turned back on. When the flickering occurs, waiting a couple of minutes makes the flicker grow progressively better until it is gone completely. [Bug 858412] Re: Regression: Logitech webcam microphone makes "chipmunk" sound after Oneiric beta upgrade
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. [Bug 671639] Re: Software-center freeze on wine instalation
I was installing wine 1.2.3-0ubuntu1, wine1.3 1.3.28-0ubuntu1 and winetricks 0.0+20110402. After ~15 minutes, wine installation freezes on "applying changes" state.
