[Bug 899054] Re: nvidia-173 kernel module failed to build in Precise (Unable to determine the target kernel version - like bug 576648)
Oh I certainly do think that new bugs are more important than old ones, but no that's not what I meant. What I meant is that it looks like the instance of this build failure in precise may be due to something different than what's causing it in lucid. Because these build failures apparently weren't happening in oneiric (even though jockey bug #897681 was), I have a suspicion it's a recent regression, possibly kernel-version-specific. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899054 Title: nvidia-173 kernel module failed to build in Precise (Unable to determine the target kernel version - like bug 576648) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-173/+bug/899054/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 901093] [NEW] Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Activation of org.freedesktop.PackageKit timed out
Public bug reported: Whenever (re)installing Packagekit, I keep on getting the following: Setting up packagekit (0.7.1-1) ... Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Activation of org.freedesktop.PackageKit timed out Sure enough, during normal utilization, a similar error appears, such as when running "apt-get update": Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. [Bug 879790] Re: Sound doesn't play properly after upgrade from 11.04->11.10
Actually I don't think that it's an Intel Network driver problem nor something with the nvidia drivers. I have a T60 here that has an atheros wifi and an ATI graphics card. Sound is HDA intel but the last post suggested its caused by intel network drivers. The wired lan is an Intel Corporation 82573L Gigabit Ethernet Controller but I disabled that one - the problem still persists... The description confirms firefox gets installed with pytrainer, but > can anyone confirm if it gets removed when removing pytrainer? I would > imagine it doesn't due to many other dependencies, if that's the case > then this is not a bug. The dependency is "iceweasel|firefox|abrowser". Indeed, I wonder why this dependency is there. The changelog is unclear about this. It apparently got added when Fiz Vazquez (CC'ed, please keep CC list) was maintaining the package for Ubuntu (in a private repo?). The reason is probably the same rationale than having /usr/bin/pytrainer as a wrapper: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/firefox python /usr/bin/pytr Other pytrainer Debian package maintainers, do you have a clue? I'm tempted to drop that wrapper (it causes a lintian warning about not having a manpage for "pytr"). I suspect the need to be able to use some Firefox libraries but I'm not sure that such a hack is the right way to do things. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769516 Title: When I install (or remove) pyTrainer, firefox is also installed (or removed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pytrainer/+bug/769516/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 865377] Re: Linux fails to suspend on ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1215T-MU17
Just a comment to say that since I filed this bug this problem has persisted, sometimes not happening for a week or so but for the past week or so happening about 50% of the time, which means restarting several times a day because I move a lot with my netbook. (And if Oneiric restarted in less than 5 or 10 minutes it wouldn't be such a problem, but it always takes a significant amount of time to reboot and restart applications.) I'd be glad to provide more information if someone could tell me what to provide. Thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/865377 Title: Linux fails to suspend on ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1215T-MU17 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/865377/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
