[Bug 934011] Re: package postfix 2.7.0-1ubuntu0.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 75
Hi Seetharam, thanks for taking the time to file this bug and help us make Ubuntu better. Your hostname is not valid as a mail host name, so postfix is refusing to start. This is commonly attributed to a poorly configured cable modem or router which hands out invalid hostnames with underscores in the names or numbers as the first characters. You can verify this by looking at /etc/hostname and /etc/mailname, both files can be edited to be something more correct for postfix. Once it is appropriate, 'dpkg --configure -a' should finish configuring postfix. This is not a bug in postfix though, so closing as Invalid. ** Changed in: postfix (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/934011 Title: package postfix 2.7.0-1ubuntu0.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 75 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/934011/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Hello Tapan, thank you for taking the time to file this bug report and help us make Ubuntu better! MySQL 5.5 is not available for Ubuntu 11.04, so using it in this context is not really a supported option. If you have backported the official packages from precise, you should find that mysql-client-5.1 and mysql-client-5.5 cannot be configured and installed together because mysql-client-5.5 breaks and replaces mysql-client-5.1. Apt should remove mysql-client-5.1 in favor of mysql-client-5.5. Anyway, we can't really help with this since, as I said, mysql-5.5 is not available in Ubuntu 11.04, so closing as Invalid. ** Changed in: mysql-5.1 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.1 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/934763 Title: package mysql-client-5.1 5.1.54-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/mysqlaccess', which is also in package mysql-client 5.5.20-2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.1/+bug/934763/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 933480] Re: Picks hmac-md5 over hmac-sha1
Hi Chris, thanks for taking the time to file this bug and help us make Ubuntu better. According to RFC 6151, this is not an urgent matter: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6151 I do think that it is rather odd that hmac-md5 is still the default, but the upstream openssh authors seems to find that acceptable, and so I think we can also follow their lead. This is perhaps something to take up with the OpenSSH developers on their mailing list. Because it is not urgent and upstream has not seen fit to correct the issue, I am marking this bug as Wishlist. It is definitely something to consider, so I'm marking it as Confirmed. Chris, it would be fantastic if you would forward this bug to the OpenSSH mailing list to get the ball rolling on on a discussion. Once you've done so, report back here the results of the discussion, and we can mark this as Triaged (if there is a change to make) or perhaps close it if upstream is not interested in changing the default. ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/933480 Title: Picks hmac-md5 over hmac-sha1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/933480/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 812423] Re: mysql upstart job hangs if database directory not mounted
Hi Jo! Its possible that the upstart job is respawning over and over rather than just failing, which it should. I think it might be helpful if you could provide us with /var/log/syslog during the time where you seee lines this hang. Usually the job will execute, and the run the post- start which will wait 30 seconds for mysql to be started, and then fail. [Bug 932073] Re: package mysql-server-5.1 5.1.54-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Hi sadfasdf, thanks for taking the time to file this bug report and help us make Ubuntu better. The relevant error from your report is: AppArmor parser error for /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld at line 9: Could not open 'abstractions/mysql' This file is part of 'apparmor', so its fairly confusing why it would be missing, since apparmor_parser is also part of the package. [Bug 934786]
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. [Bug 930148] Re: Dodge windows is down but what about making the launcher autohide only on maximised apps ?
@Christopher My first comment still waiting for answers and pointing me on the mail list that i have allrdy ridden doesn't give me any. Im all with you ! I also want to see more and more ppl join ubuntu . If you open your ubuntu desktop seat back relax take a look of the UI what you get? What im getting is a top panel looks exactly like if i was in OSx and i can also see the Windows 7 taskbar moved from bottom to the left. Even though im not a new user on ubuntu i was a new user on unity like all of us and i think its more than enough to not alienate the user. I feel like if a new user press by mistake the ALT key will be much more alienate by HUD than anything (I like Hud too , its an example based in the way you are thinking ) Your last paragraph still don't give me an answer about how Autohide is better than Intelihide -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/930148 Title: Dodge windows is down but what about making the launcher autohide only on maximised apps ? [Bug 742475] Re: Firefox does not use Ubuntu Notifications
I don't think Chris Coulsons comment is valid anymore. In Precise, we now display downloads in the dash first page. So a non-actionable notification would do just fine. When you see the download complete notification bubble, you'll just press super and you'll see it there. It's no longer important that the notification itself must be clickable. It might be nice if the number of completed downloads were also added to the message menu, but that's not as important, I think. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742475 Title: Firefox does not use Ubuntu Notifications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/742475/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 934836] [NEW] hud not working with Thunderbird's menu
Public bug reported: Hud can't work properly with Thunderbird (11). Happens all the times. Start Thunderbird, press alt, try a command like preferences, nothing is shown. Open edit from global menu, press alt, try same command, it appears (edit-preferences). Close Thunderbird, repeat, still not working. Can't say if the same happens for Firefox, because global menu don't work there, but it used to do the same in the earlier versions I tested. Works fine with Gnome applications like evince and file-roller. I selected I don't know because if I select package HUD from the chooser, Launchpad gives me an error (???) [Bug 934854] [NEW] Wine makes on 64 bit systems troubles
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 dev (amd64) with wine1.4 1.4~rc4-0ubuntu1. On 64 bit installations wine1.4 can't open 32 bit appliactions. I have deleted ~/.wine and started a windows 32 bit application: sworddragon@ubuntu:/wine/drive_c/Programme/GUILD WARS$ wine64 Gw.exe wine: created the configuration directory '/home/sworddragon/.wine' Could not load wine-gecko. HTML rendering will be disabled. wine: configuration in '/home/sworddragon/.wine' has been updated. Nothing happened after this. Even if I call the command again there is no output anymore and no wine processes are running. I have deleted ~/.wine again and tried to call wine1.4 with 32 bit compatibility: sworddragon@ubuntu:/wine/drive_c/Programme/GUILD WARS$ WINEARCH=win32 wine64 Gw.exe wine: created the configuration directory '/home/sworddragon/.wine' wine: '/home/sworddragon/.wine' is a 32-bit installation, it cannot support 64-bit applications. I have figured out that wine1.4 depends on wine1.4-dev but wine1.4-i386 comes before wine1.4-dev in the list of dependencies. I have enabled i386 for multiarch and tried to install wine1.4-i386 but I got some errors: sworddragon@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install wine1.4-i386 Reading package lists... [Bug 75654] Re: deleted songs listed again when using library watch
Originally I thought it is wrong that RB allows me to remove track but the track is back again after restart. It simply did not seem to be right behavior. On the other hand what about deleted tracks? Would you allow to undo the removing? Just wondering after reading this discussion. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/75654 Title: deleted songs listed again when using library watch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/75654/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
