[Bug 943643] Re: Fonts are blurry after the installation of Nvidia driver using jockey

[Bug 950597] [NEW] Initiate Window Picker For All Windows only displays windows from current output
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1 CCSM 0.9.5.92 Before upgrading to 12.04, 'Initiate Window Picker For All Windows' option within the Scale plugin scaled all windows regardless of which virtual desktop they were assigned to. Since upgrading I've noticed this feature performs identically to 'Initiate Window Picker For Windows On Current Output', only scaling windows from the desktop currently being viewed. [Bug 950359] Re: gedit no longer starts
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. [Bug 950521] Re: Cheese slow to load or crashes on start
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 875343] Re: Stuck at "Saving installed packages..." when using a custom /var
This is not a permanent solution but just a workaround for anyone wishing to upgrade without formatting target partition. I was trying to set up 12.04 Beta 1 without formatting my /-mounted partition and got stuck at this. My 11.10 setup was going to be a pain to upgrade anyway - had troublesome upgrade earlier when using . I booted with an alternate cd and removed everything I did not need (/var /lib /opt e.t.c) except /home. For good measure, I also renamed /home and then installed 12.04 beta 1 without formatting target partition - went smoothly. [Bug 950583] [NEW] No "switch user" button when screen locked
Public bug reported: [Guessing this is a problem with lightdm] What I expected to happen: When a user screen is locked, I expect to be able to switch to another user by getting to the main greeter screen or by seeing the "Switch User Account" drop down menu somewhere. What actually happens: Using 12.04 beta Desktop. When an Administrator or Standard User locks his screen, either via inactivity or by Ctrl-Alt-L, there is no ability to switch to another user. When activated, the greeter just shows the Password entry box and "Unlock" button. No "Switch User" button is shown (or Shutdown, etc). $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu precise (development branch) Release:12.04 $ apt-cache policy lightdm lightdm: Installed: 1.1.6-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.1.6-0ubuntu1 ** Affects: lightdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950583 Title: No "switch user" button when screen locked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/950583/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 950087] Re: python2.7 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_newv() when using gi binding for xklavier (gir1.2-xkl-1.0)
This is not a bug. The API does not publicly expose the constructor, i. e. Xkl.Engine.new() does not exist. Xkl.Engine() invokes the GObject constructor on it, which we cannot hide unfortunately. The API documentation [1] shows that you need to use the singleton function Xkl.Engine.get_instance(display) for this. This works fine, the upstream code has a test script for all this, which you might steal from [2].
