[Bug 1094412] Re: Precise does not resume from S3 - kernel panic on resume
Best guess: Booting with 'noapic', I see the "irq 5: nobody cared" message on resume, along with 1 IRQ5 counts in /proc/interrupts (the devices claiming that IRQ are quiescent). Without 'noapic' that must be triggering something else to go haywire, perhaps the AER logic (though that is all MSI, so probably not). I'm flying blind on those boots. I bet that, if I can recall how to re-enable IRQ5, I'll see it continuously asserting. Chipset or BIOS bug maybe. I don't know if I had AER enabled under Lucid, so that might be the difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1094412 Title: Precise does not resume from S3 - kernel panic on resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/1094412/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1081384] Re: Update to 310.19
Hopefully a good resolution can be found for this. We went from having the ease of the x-swat PPA updated with the latest stable driver on the day of release to then being forced to play with beta drivers only in Jockey, to now having to find the option buried somewhere under Software Sources. Googled high ACPI interrupts and the issue appears to be BIOS-related. Definitely kernel-level, can be traced as far back, as 2007 - reappears after fixes. [Bug 1094567] Re: Blank (but responsive) screen with mouse pointer after update
The logs were from a successful boot. The previous version I had installed was 3.5.0-20-generic. I'll try to convince grub to give me a boot menu tomorrow and then alternate versions to see if I can absolutely confirm the kernel version as the cause. I'll also run apport-collect to attach the logs from a failed bootup to this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1094567 Title: Blank (but responsive) screen with mouse pointer after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1094567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1086746] Re: Bluetooth keyboard battery interpreted as laptop battery
Same problem with my Razer Pro|Click BT mouse on my Sony VAIO's built-in BT radio. This looks like a bug in the Unity battery applet, not in upowerd, but I could be wrong. upower-d displays the mouse battery with the proper device name and "no" to power supply (the laptop battery reports "yes" to power supply). But when I open the battery info app from Unity, it shows the mouse as a laptop battery. Not only that, but the "default" battery meter displayed in the Unity menu bar is for the mouse and NOT the laptop battery. So I have to click it to see the laptop's battery level. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1086746 Title: Bluetooth keyboard battery interpreted as laptop battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upower/+bug/1086746/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1094591] Re: Blank Screen on Reboot/Restart
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1094591/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1089722] Re: wcslen reads beyond the end of the buffer
I suspected it may be a false positive in valgrind from such an optimization in eglibc, but looking at the uncommented glibc source, I can not tell if it actually is safe and won't cross a page boundary. If it can't cross a page boundary, then yes, valgrind should be configured to ignore it, but if it can, then it certainly is a bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1089722 Title: wcslen reads beyond the end of the buffer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eglibc/+bug/1089722/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
