[Bug 1016613] Re: application launcher icons are mixed with icons of minimized windows
I forgot, there is one thing that is CERTAINLY bug (even from the point of view of those who don't consider this issue a bug): SOME applications have their open window icons separated from the launcher icon (and the launcher icon keeps opening new windows), while OTHER applications have the open windows share the same icon as the launcher icon. This is inconsistent and hence a bug. Even those insane people who think it's ok to reuse the launcher icon for open windows, will agree that all applications should share the same behavior. [Bug 1141079] Re: Compiz broken with QT menus/floating controls in 13.04
** Description changed: When using QT apps such as VLC player in ubuntu 13.04 menus and floating controls are all messed up. Whenever I bring up a right click menu in a QT app compiz thinks the menu is another window and it shows up as "untitled window" I saw this in xubuntu 13.04 + compiz as window manager and in a fresh 13.04 unity install. In addition if you go fullscreen in vlc or smplayer and bring up the floating controls it glitches out and stops letting you bring them up, you also occasionally see flashes of the unity launcher/menu bar when you bring them up. This is a very big regression, and QT video players are basically unusable... I also get random invisible menus in QT applications Here is a video showing the untitled window bug and an issue with invisible menus in QT apps (you can see at the end the tools menu is - totalyl invisible, this happens in every single qt app and is easy for + totally invisible, this happens in every single qt app and is easy for me to reproduce): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTOAHeOwdko&feature=youtu.be I wasn't able to catch the fullscreen controls bug on video for some reason, that one only seemed to happen when I was in unity. + + I initially thought this was something wrong with my install or + something to do with XFCE, so I tried downloading a fresh ubuntu/unity + raring ISO and saw the same issues there. ading "normal exit SIGTERM" to /etc/init/cloud-init.conf will probably suppress the appearance of normal termination messages in dmesg. [Bug 1142452] [NEW] rsync throws Invalid argument (22) errors when attempting to preserve ACLs on backup to S3QL drive
Public bug reported: Ubuntu: Lucid 10.04.4 Kernel: 3.0.0-31-server rsync: 3.0.7-1ubuntu1.1 s3ql: 1.13.1-1~lucid2 Every night we make a backup to a remote s3ql share using rsync. In the past few days this error started showing up in the logs for every single file: rsync: get_acl: sys_acl_get_file(.bashrc, ACL_TYPE_ACCESS): Invalid argument (22) We use the -A flag to maintain ACLs in the backup. Removing that flag eliminates the error messages, but then we're not preserving the ACLs anymore. The full list of flags on rsync is: -aHAXx -i --delete-during --delete- excluded --partial --exclude [a few dirs] S3ql did update recently, but it was 4 days before this error started showing up. The one thing of note is that the problem didn't appear until after I'd rebooted the system to use the new kernel version. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1142452 Title: rsync throws Invalid argument (22) errors when attempting to preserve ACLs on backup to S3QL drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1142452/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1142451] [NEW] [MIR] pygpgme
Public bug reported: Availability: The package is universe, and must build for all architectures. Rationale: python-gpgme is a Recommends for bzr. It is needed to verify signed GPG commits. Security: There have been no security issues reported for the package. Quality assurance: The package ships a test suite that is run a build time. All tests currently pass successfully. There are no bugs against the package. Upstream development is hosted on Launchpad. There are no RC bugs against it in Debian. The only bugs open in Debian are a request for more documentation (BTS #696636) which has been forwarded upstream and a request for a new upstream release (BTS #665731) that has already been packaged for Ubuntu. UI standards: n/a Dependencies: All build and binary dependencies (including Recommends:) are satisfiable in main. Standards compliance: The package complies with Debian Policy and other standards. Maintenance: I am subscribed to bug reports in Ubuntu. The Debian maintainer has not replied to BTS #665731 which does concern me, but a patch for BTS #700780 that I supplied was quickly uploaded. I have offered to become a co-maintainer in Debian and suggested moving the package to Debian Python Modules Team. ** Affects: pygpgme (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1142451 Title: [MIR] pygpgme To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pygpgme/+bug/1142451/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
