[Bug 1057425] Re: Blueman : Bad German translation for "audio sink"
I corrected the affected strings in Launchpad (I do not own a Bluetooth headset to test it however). It is Fix Released on the translation's side since we fixed what we can fix. Nevertheless, I'll mark this as affecting blueman. As I said before, Blueman is not in the »main« repository and therefore might not be part of the LanguagePack. This means an updated package has to be submitted by the Blueman package maintainers to include updated translations. Or their migth be something wrong with the coding … ** Also affects: blueman Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1057425 Title: Blueman : Bad German translation for "audio sink" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/blueman/+bug/1057425/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1181712] Re: I don't know the difference between bugs and my system cracker
What you say may be true on a micro scale, but on a macro scale,,, such as when the person goes into my SSL certificates area and leaves notes talkng about how useless SSL is and he knows how can beat it, (and I don't have a clue as to whether he changed the security of the whole machine any more than you are from me telling you this story and expecting yout to immediately believe it. , But then maybe the only way to find tut if this is dangerous is to fhnd and locate the guy. We are putting everyone at risk by ignoring it in light of my very careful decision not to mention this except to my wife for years. I have thought many times that some of it was just coincidence. But eventually coincidence falls to reallism. The most telling thing happening was my wife's disk drive just by happenstance getting the name that mimmicked my own Woody Guthrie parody making an analogy between a guitar and the personal compouter. But someone had to break into my wife's computer to do that. I'm so clueless about a lof of this that I forgot the pasword on my windows machine and couldn't get any of the supposedly foolproof products out there to get into the Window machine by braking in and getting the pasword. But I've been trying to educate myself by reading many of the documents in the iinnards of the Ubuntu operating system.. As a lawyer, one of the things you have to look at is the totality of the evidence. There is overwhelming evidence of someone who enjoys cracking into my machine and may possibly be doing it on a larger scale. Frankly I don't have much of a clue, but if we were playing the game Clue, my money would be on the guy who was in therapy with me moaning and groaning about how he was treated at work, and he left the impression it was a sensitive job involving monitoring computers. And I was somewhat rude to him at that meeting, not my usual persona burt the guy needed somone to tell him the problem wasn't all ihis coworkers. This was a group therapy session after all. Maybe one of them, or a small group of them might be treating him badly but not the whole organization. Maybe his boss was a jerk and that was al it was. I've had to deal with that and when it happens, it's not so bad because everyone shares in the misery. Ignore it if you want to but when this person causes major harm all I can say is that I finally did my part. Part of me fi8nds taling like this distasteful as my years of public defending made me realize that often the innocent person is a supsect for a long time. And have only just a very. very small amount of confidence that he is the guyl. In fact, the odds are he isn't. But I[m not asking anyone to go after this guy. All I want is someone to note if some person is getting in my machine who is not at my ip address. Because my wife is essentially a "shut-in" and I yhave to bbe here to take care of us. So we don't log into our accounts from anywhere here but at this ip address. She uses Windows and I use Linux and my bet is that they are entering my computer through her Windows machine. I need to learn how to make a complete, independent firewall that logs everything and some advice on what computer program can see anomolies in the IP address and where and what foreign IP addresses are going when they enter here. I{'ve been hoping he goes away for years. But then something happens that has the clear mark of a malicious human's handiwork written all over it after a week, or a month, or 6 weeks or whatever goes by, and there he is again. , have had too many of those incidents such that , I can't ignore it anymore and just chalk it up0 to my paranoia and a coincidence or series of coincedences . And after years of having to endure it, I have come to realize it's not a lof of people and it's not the odd but but explanable curious happenings. It's one person stalking me. And I have no clue who it is and no reason to make it up. It's embarrassing to tell my life story. And yes, I do suffer from paranoia but it is controlled by medication, although 'America's march towards totalitarianism is upsetting to me as it is to so many others people.I have confidence we will eventually get back on track., That's something I can't change on my own. But I can alert t\he right people to this one guy. That's apparently not you. But I can do something to stop this guy who is using his knowledge to harass me and no telling how many others. On the other hand, I coudl name a few more suspects. I really am a Thoreau type person who likes to stay at home and read. I was curious enough about his saying he lived where no one could find him and that he had a special secret email adddress. It's been years and I found he lived in a big aprtment building abd hgis email address ended with the suffix of dot us or .us. [Bug 1182604] [NEW] AMD64 lmms package doesn't have Vestige VST support while the i386 does
Public bug reported: The AMD64 package doesn't containt libvestige.so to be able to run VST plugins. While comparing the filelists of the amd64 package and the i386 package (see [1] and [2]) I noticed that the i386 package does have this support. It would be nice if this could be fixed and the amd64 lmms package would also support VST plugins. This is critical for many musicians because many plugins are only available as VST plugins. Do you you refer to the 4.3.10 upstream release or the 4.3.7-1 Debian package when you talk of "current version"? To which changelog entry or commit do you refer when you write "The bug is fixed in the current version"? I couldn't find any entry in the upstream changelog which sounds similar enough to what you reported. Additionally the only code which changed in htmlquoted() seems to handle no or empty arguments. On affected system with user interaction, the session process should fail after a maximum of 1 hour of use, though most likely it will take more like less than 10 minutes. + + + [Regression Potential] + +My (limited) understanding is that the patch is minimally invasive. + As discussed above, the patch is well tested and there are no reports, + after (sometimes) weeks of use, that it would introduce new issues. + Based on my (limited) understanding, there is no or neglegible + regression potential involved. + + [Other Info] + + Upstream version 4.10.1 includes the patch, tagged on May 5: http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-session/tag/?id=xfce4-session-4.10.1 + Upstream version 4.10.1 has not been released, yet: http://archive.xfce.org/xfce/4.10/src/ + + + Please feel free to edit and take over theis SRU request if you feel more qualified to handle it (I don't feel very qualified myself). Please also note that I am unable to upload a patch to *-proposed. + + + + Original bug report: + During normal operation, suddenly, without any particular reason, the session was restarted. The problem was repeated several times, even several times. Only now I was able to report a bug, because after each restart of the session, error reporting program was closed. [Bug 271755] Re: variable rate mp3 have wrong length
This bug is still present in version 2.98 under ubuntu raring 13.04. Seeing the importance set to LOW, while 5 years passed from the first report, is outraging. Most of my files are vbr encoded mp3, and I cant check song duration, cant jump to a position in song, or see where the current playing position is, because rhythmbox shows incorrect duration for mp3 songs encoded in variable bitrate. This is unacceptable for a media player, and should have been resolved years ago. I hope you recognise what a major bug this is. I really like your player, but unfortunately this bug makes it neccessary to have another player, so I can jump into vbr encoded songs too. Other than that keep up the good work, your player is still one of the best. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271755 Title: variable rate mp3 have wrong length To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rhythmbox/+bug/271755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 74747] Re: Default sources.list file has source packages enabled by default
** Description changed: - Binary package hint: apt - The default sources.list file has source packages enabled by default, this is bad for the average user (especially those on modems) because they are very unlikely to use source packages, however they will still have the download overhead of the packages list. For most people the deb-src lines could simply be commented out by default. (Bug reported at the behest of Robert Collins) + + Implementing this would probably invalidate bug 301602. [Bug 1182517] Re: anacron runs updatedb at worst possible time
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1182517/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
