[Bug 1178907] Re: Searching a program freezes when Empathy is online with a Facebook account
I am running Ubuntu 13.04 with the Gnome 3 shell. I encounter the same issue. Gateway NV50A16u laptop. AMD Phenom II X2 N660 processor. ATI Mobility Radeon HD41520 Graphics. If I disable empathy I have no issues running Ubuntu 13.04 with Gnome. Facebook is the only account linked to Gnome. Re: [Bug 1202205] Re: Adding version 9.2
Muhammad Bashir Al-Noimi [2013-07-17 21:57 -]: > May I know the reason of insisting not to add Pg 9.2? Updating to a newer version is always a huge mission, as there are a lot of packaged extensions which need to be ported and updated along. Also, if the next major version comes out, we then need to remove all reverse dependencies to the previous versions, i. e. port them all again. So we try to avoid introducing e. g. 9.2 into Debian unstable now precisely so that people do *not* start depending on 9.2, as 9.3 is already around the corner (beta2 right now). We have more flexibility on apt.postgresql.org as that doesn't need to guarantee that everything is supported throughout the full lifetime of the corresponding Debian/Ubuntu release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1202205 Title: Adding version 9.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postgresql-common/+bug/1202205/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1071905] Re: ERROR: The launchpadlib Python module is not installed.
It's rather that our Python maintainers/foundations team don't want python2 dependencies on the default install. As we install apport by default, it can only depend on python3 stuff, so Barry asked me to make the python2 bits optional. And indeed launchpadlib is not needed for most apport operations (its main purpose is to file bugs), only if you invoke it as apport-collect. So the default install with python3 is still mostly fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1071905 Title: ERROR: The launchpadlib Python module is not installed. [Bug 1202054] Re: PostgreSQL Being Listed on Login Screen
PostgreSQL v9.0 was downloaded from http://www.postgresql.org/ into the original 13.04 disto in my sda5. This was then DD cloned into my sda6 and dist-upgrade to 13.10. PostgreSQL is needed on my system as I run a Postgres database. It also has to be v9.0 as there are serious limitations to later versions. So, PostgreSQL is 'legitimate' on my system but has only started showing up as a 'user' since the upgrade to Saucy. [Bug 1202440] [NEW] support hooks directly in preseed file
Public bug reported: It would be great to be able to define hooks directly in the preseed file: d-i hook/post-base-installer/0 string "in-target adduser foo" Something like that. The use case I have for this is such: I'm building a preseed file to bootstrap a system up to installing puppet and running it. The problem is, I need my puppet uid/gid to be consistent every time. For other users, I just add them to my puppet configuration so when puppet runs the user is created with the appropriate uid, but in order to do that I need to install puppet which will install its own user (with its own, possibly inconsistent) uid. Therefore I need to create the user/group prior to installing puppet. When I asked about doing this on #ubuntu-installer, the response I got from cjwatson (thanks, by the way!) was to use preseed/early_install to add a hook to /usr/lib/post-base-installer.d/ to call "in-target adduser foo". Since there can only be one early_install, having to add this to a potentially long and complex chain of commands could get pretty hairy, so being able to do: d-i hook/post-base-installer/00_add_foo_user string "in-target adduser foo" Would be much much cleaner and also allow for defining multiple hooks, so if you're generating your preseed file with a script it should make it easier to manage multiple parts of your script adding their own hooks. I'm a pretty new user of preseed, so I can't come up with more use cases, but I can't imagine it would be that hard to add this functionality, and I think it could be incredibly useful. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1202440 Title: support hooks directly in preseed file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/1202440/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1202433] Re: Unity Web Apps Plugin is very annoying, won't install, keeps pestering the crap out of me
I don't think this is a Kubuntu problem, I think it is a Google Chromium problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1202433 Title: Unity Web Apps Plugin is very annoying, won't install, keeps pestering the crap out of me To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-chromium-extension/+bug/1202433/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1202433] [NEW] Unity Web Apps Plugin is very annoying, won't install, keeps pestering the crap out of me
Public bug reported: I am running Kubuntu 13.04 on an HP Pavillion Elite HPE 240f with a 64 bit AMD64 processor. It is a dual boot configuration with Windows 8.1 Preview. I use Google's Chromium as my default browser in Linux. On virtually every page I go to, I get a notification to instaLL UNITY WEBAPPS PLUGIN. If I click "install plug-in" it downloads a file into my "home/downloads/" directory. I get a box asking me to Discard or Keep. No matter what I select, nothing happens. I have dozens of copies of this crap now. If I select Problems Installing? from the notification bar, it takes me to a web page of crap I can't use. I have closed out and restarted Chromium dozens of times and nothing helps. I continue to be pestered by this notification bar. I need to get your crap either installed or killed. I don't care which. This failure to install error is driving me CRAZY. ** Affects: unity-chromium-extension (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1202433 Title: Unity Web Apps Plugin is very annoying, won't install, keeps pestering the crap out of me To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-chromium-extension/+bug/1202433/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
