[Bug 1248245] [NEW] calendar indicator always opens with wrong date
Public bug reported: The unity calendar indicator invariably opens with a day highlighted that is not today, always in the past, sometimes in the wrong month. I'd expect when i click the time to see the calendar to be looking at the current month and have the current day highlighted. Like cal on the command line. [Bug 1248249] [NEW] regression: local admin not authorized for many tasks
Public bug reported: Similar reports to this were filed previously: #1005643 #1069234 While 1069234 was marked as a duplicate of 1005643, and 1005643 was marked as resolved, this problem still exists with 13.10. When attempting to mount any of my local volumes through a graphical file manager (such as Thunar or Nautilus), I'm greeted with a dialog like the following: Failed to mount keys. Not authorized to perform operation. When attempting to mount them from a command line I get the following: $ udisksctl mount -b /dev/mmcblk0p1 AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-mount === Authentication is required to mount MS (/dev/mmcblk0p1) Multiple identities can be used for authentication: 1. Jamin Collins,,, (jcollins) 2. Jamin Collins,,, (jcollins) Choose identity to authenticate as (1-2): This is presumably because my user is in both the admin and sudo groups. If I remove the user from the sudo group the prompt changes: $ sudo deluser jcollins sudo [sudo] password for jcollins: Removing user `jcollins' from group `sudo' ... Done. $ udisksctl mount -b /dev/mmcblk0p1 AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-mount === Authentication is required to mount MS (/dev/mmcblk0p1) Authenticating as: Jamin Collins,,, (jcollins) Password: So, there are a couple of problems here. First is the fact that a local admin is being prompted for authentication to mount local or removable file systems. Second, that the authentication system can't determine that accounts are, in fact, identical. [Bug 685096] Re: USB Passthrough not working for Windows 7 guest
Hi Serge, for your information. I sent a mail to the devel mailing list. See below. I've tried to passthrough special Vector automotive usb in house devices. Look here: http://vector.com/vi_vn1600_en.html. What do you mean with what commands you've tried? I've tried three QEMU versions: 1. Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit prebuild qemu-kvm package (qemu 1.4.0) 2. Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit prebuild qemu-kvm package (qemu 1.5.0) 3. Hand builded QEMU 1.6.1 with standard configure call $ ./configure --prefix=/opt/kvm make -j Next, I want to build qemu from git? [Bug 1219908] Re: [needs-packaging] All nvidia-current and nvidia-updates need repackaging to mirror official Nvidia releases...
Thank you for releasing this fix, it's appreciated. Recently I upgraded to 13.10 from 13.04 on my home machine a Dell Vostro with a 'GeForce 8600M GT/PCIe/SSE2' and so far with the 319.60 'nvidia-319-updates' drivers I've had the best graphics and Unity/Compiz performance and stability I've ever had using Ubuntu, it's very crisp. I will have to test this further and see what happens when I put the 13.10 system under more diverse OpenGL and graphics use case scenarios. For the 12.04 LTS I will have to install some test environments for the 'nvidia-319-updates' and 'nvidia-304-updates' release on Precise and do some testing so I can relay my experiences and results. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1219908 Title: [needs-packaging] All nvidia-current and nvidia-updates need repackaging to mirror official Nvidia releases... [Bug 1153106] Re: AMILO Pro V2030 fan control only working after suspend
Christopher, thank you very much! I'd really like to test the BIOS upgrade! However, silly as it sounds, the AMILO Pro laptop in question completely broke down three days ago. It will not power on any more. (It is not the battery, it does not power on with battery removed, either. Probably a hardware failure in the mainboard's power supply. I know of other AMILOs that suffered this failure.) When I have the time I will see if I can fix the power supply. If I manage, I will certainly come to you. Until then, we're out of luck :-(. However, since I seem to have been the only one with interest in this problem (no one else subscribed to this bug), there may be no need to further pursue the issue. I'm a little sad that a machine that served me well for 10 years or more has simply broken. I appreciate your help very much! But unless I manage to fix my AMILO, this ticket may be closed. [Bug 1248253] [NEW] [3.11.1 regression] wrong color depth when saving images
Public bug reported: Today I scanned an image whose saved JPG result was totally ugly, with just 16 colors or so. This didn't happen last week yet (and I dist- upgrade trusty daily). Hence I suppose this is a regression in simple-scan (3.11.1-0ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low * New upstream release: - Fix page size not being applied on some drivers - Rewrite autosaving. Now uses files for scan data, is more efficient in writing to disk and drops dependency on sqlite. * debian/control: - Drop build-depends on libsqlite3-dev -- Robert Ancell robert.anc...@canonical.com Fri, 01 Nov 2013 11:51:48 -0700 The preview looks alright, but the saved image (attached) looks like Tetris. This is with a Canon CanoScan LiDE 60 (but that shouldn't matter as the preview is fine and xsane etc. work fine, too). [Bug 1184262] Re: [logind] times out too early, stuck in PrepareForSleep, causing network and other services to not resume
In my previous comment I said that Martin's package didn't fix my issue, but two days after I said that, the suspend-repeat loop seems to have gone away. Sometimes my wifi turns on automatically on resume, sometimes it doesn't. Overall, it's a much better experience, but there's still some work to do. [Bug 1228360] Re: No clock in menu bar and can't edit Clock settings
Found the issue. I built a few libraries from source earlier in /usr/local/lib . indicator-datetime-service found those libraries before the system libraries in /usr/lib for some reason. It shouldn't have done that. One of those libraries pulled in the old libical.so.0 dependency which was no longer available. When I deleted all the GNOME/Evolution related libraries in /usr/local/lib I could start indicator-datetime-service again and my clock shown up. Why would indicator-datetime-service load libraries from /usr/local/lib before /usr/local if they have the same library versions?
