[Bug 1161283] Re: Problems reported with .desktop files for sonic-visualiser
In this case the solution was: First step: remove those 2 sonic-visualiser files from app-install-data, they don't belong there. Second step: revised the authorisation of the user's /home directory: sudo chown -R user:user /home/user It solved all my problems! [Bug 1249814] [NEW] Mouse scroll-wheel doesn't work when window doesn't have focus
Public bug reported: When two windows are put side by side, working on one (thus clicking it) brings focus away from the other, and the other way around. Still, hovering the cursor on the inactive window without giving it focus can make that window scroll. In Ubuntu 13.10 this doesn't work on Evince windows when I use my mouse middle button (scroll-wheel) to scroll, while my touchpad side-scrolling function does. Both used to work on Evince in 13.04. Please note that I don't have the mouse hover focus function enabled (found in Unity Tweak Tool) so I can only give focus by click. Now that someone has tested Ubuntu 13.10 with the same kernel that was used in Ubuntu 13.04, and he confirmed that this bug persists in both UXA and SNA modes (in 13.10), it appears (so far) that it is not the new kernel's fault. [Bug 1249822] [NEW] Logrotate doesn't run hourly in Ubuntu 13.04
Public bug reported: As per https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/logrotate/+question/238977 I am now creating a bug: I am currently experiencing some issues with logrotate, and running them hourly. Re: [Bug 878919] Re: regular kernel panic on Ubuntu 11.10
Hello. I guess this ticket should be closed now. I used the workaround for some time and now with 13.10 13.04 I had no issue anymore. Regards Philippe Le 9 nov. 2013 19:10, Christopher M. Penalver christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com a écrit : pnael, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available (not the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.12 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding. ** Description changed: - I get regular kernel panic since I installed Ubuntu 11.10. Daniel Speichert (dasp) - were you using a ceph/RBD backend? Were you trying to snapshot a QCOW image? Try it with a RAW. [Bug 1249825] [NEW] Cannot type into Unity Dash
Public bug reported: I am running Ubuntu 13.10 with onboard version 0.99.0-0ubuntu1. When attempting to type into the Unity Dash (search bar) the dash closes whenever a key is pressed. This seems to be a regression of 915250. It is not a major issue to me currently as I have found two workarounds that seem to resolve the issue for now: 1. Undock Onboard and set Force to top. 2. Maximize Unity Dash window. ** Affects: onboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: regression-release -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1249825 Title: Cannot type into Unity Dash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/onboard/+bug/1249825/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I don't have it in front of me (at home...and this is on a work computer), but from what I remember the original chromedriver had version numbers that looked like the chromium build.
