[Bug 1333913] Re: Kernel panics on br_nf_pre_routing_finish_bridge with atl1c driver
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: I'm building custom router based on Ubuntu Server. With bridging/routing enabled I've encountered kernel panic (several times in row with neither visible reason nor specific timings) in br_nf_pre_routing_finish_bridge with atl1c driver loaded. The bridge br0 consists of 1 port (eth0), which is the following network card: 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet (rev c0) It is driven by atl1c module. The network behind this card is NAT'ed. Kernel panic photo and lspci output are attached to this report. With different network card everything works OK. Things like tapping on a static area to close OSK is not something people would expect to have. Maybe it's because I'm a developer, and I'm used to more than 25 years of using computers that have pop-up UI elements like menus, and similar, which the OSK design and implementation certainly falls into the family of, and I expect that tapping outside of the pop-up widget's area, and not into another widget which would result in the same pop-up in the same position, to close that pop-up. If I tapped on another text entry, I'd expect the keyboard to stay. If I tapped on background text or empty space, I'd expect it to close. I'd also expect to be able to select and copy that text that isn't an interactive widget, in some way, so that I can paste it into a text entry elsewhere, if necessary. I think the best way to solve all these issues, is to have an explicit close button, as well as having a tap anywhere outside the keyboard area result in its closure. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1234982 Title: Keyboard does not auto-hide when no longer needed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/+bug/1234982/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1333959] Re: Window selection sends mouse click to tmux
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1333959/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1328798] Re: Setting default printer does not work
The DefaultPrinter ... ... /Printer tags in printers.conf are absolutely correct and not the cause of the problem. It is also correct that when you set the system's default printer with any printer setup tool that then the entry in printers.conf gets a DefaultPrinter ... opening tag. Problem can be that somewhere else a default printer is set, for example ina ~/.cups/lpoptions file in your home directory or in an /etc/cups/lpoptions file. Please check these files and remove any unwished default printer choices. It is also possible that applications track a default printer by themselves or simply pre-select the printer used last within the application. AFAIK LibreOffice even tracks the las-used printer in the documents, making the default printer being selected per-document. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1328798 Title: Setting default printer does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1328798/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(In reply to comment #27) I've got to the same commmit by using 'git bisect' independently. I haven't looked into it yet, however. I guess a bug report to util-linux might be good too. No need for any further bug reports. This has been fixed already: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/5/28/297 It has been backported to openSUSE's 3.11.10 kernel and will be part of the next kernel update there. I tried it out, and floppy disk access now works at first attempt again, be it with mdir, blkid, or the patched udisks (with or without an fstab entry for the floppy drive). And yes, the patches still work fine and fix the issue reported here, i.e. the floppy does get correctly mounted as user, no matter whether there is an fstab entry or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313874 Title: fstab-based mounts not done as calling user To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/udisks/+bug/1313874/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1313874]
Anyway, I guess you/we can stop trying different kernel versions now: Possibly it is regression in a kernel 3.14 This is the commit that causes it: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/axboe/linux-block.git/commit/ ?h=for-nextid=7b7b68bba5ef23734c35ffb0d8d82079ed604d33 I built openSUSE 13.1's 3.11.10 kernel (the latest one that has this problem) _without_ that commit (it was backported by openSUSE), and it works fine now. Here is the accompanying bug report that lead to this commit: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=773058 Not sure how to proceed now. I think a bug report against the kernel would be in order, as this not only affects udisks. (as mentioned, mdir and blkid show the same behavior) I guess I'll start with reporting it to openSUSE, as they are responsible for that change. But this will have to wait until after the weekend. [Bug 1257082] Re: MAAS does not use NTP servers specified in DHCPD options
So I just ran face first into this bug. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think ntp being installed by default helps at all. MAAS and Juju (for the MAAS provisioner) both depend on servers having an accurate clock early in the boot process; ntpdate achieves this because it's willing to jump time; ntp is not (for valid reasons). And, even if I'm wrong about that, we still need a fix for trusty and precise. Could we not just fix/reverse the logic in ntpdate-debian so that it prefers dhcp provided NTP servers if one is found?
