[Bug 1368680] Re: Dash pagination graphic should remain static when swiping between favourites.
The problem with this is that is that when you start swiping to the sides, the divider line doesn't necessarily have to be aligned with that of the other scope, it only comes into view a moment after you started swiping, which might mean the pagination could overflow onto the other scope's header. On top of that the dividers can have wildly different colours, we'd need assets that are certain to work well on all kinds of backgrounds. Can we please have some visual/motion exploration for this? There currently isn't a static place anywhere in the dash right now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368680 Title: Dash pagination graphic should remain static when swiping between favourites. [Bug 1364453] Re: Brightness setting does not persist across reboots
This isn't a deal-breaker, but consider the future case of a Touch split greeter (or the desktop case where it's a current reality). What should the starting device brightness be on boot? It seems like you are intending to store this value per-user inside the user session's gsettings database, which may not be accessible by boot time (in the split greeter cases -- encrypted home directories and all that). Even storing in AccountsService would feel weird, since this is kind of a device-wide setting, right? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1364453 Title: Brightness setting does not persist across reboots To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-power/+bug/1364453/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks Alex. [Bug 1368774] [NEW] [Launcher] Make it easier to remove an item from launcher
Public bug reported: User testing revealed that users expected that icon could be removed from the launcher by longpressing an item and dragging it out of the launcher. One option would be having a trash bin appearing at the bottom of the Launcher (in the place normally occupied by the BFB) when a user drags and app icon off he launcher (or enters an edit mode to organize icons). The problem with this is that because user can also relocate an item in this mode dragging an item down to a trash bin causes item to go through all different dropping positions in the actual launcher as well. Therefore one possible option would be placing the thrash bin outside the launcher next to the item in question. ** Affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Medium Assignee: Vesa Rautiainen (vesar) Status: Triaged ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Assignee: (unassigned) = Vesa Rautiainen (vesar) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368774 Title: [Launcher] Make it easier to remove an item from launcher To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1368774/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
