[Bug 1450493] Re: Phone reboots after removing and installing scope
Looking further into this issue, it actually looks related to this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1470750 This reboot issue seems to occur on the nexus but not the bq. The bug above describes behaviour experienced on the arale and bq when uninstalling a scope, so that leads me to believe the reboot does not occur on arale either. Basically, upon uninstalling a scope we see the scope registry process CPU usage shoot up. On the nexus, after a short time of eating the CPU like this, the phone reboots. If however, I stop the registry process somewhere between the uninstall and where I'd expect a reboot, the phone does not reboot. Therefore, I believe if we fix bug #1470750, we fix this one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1450493 Title: Phone reboots after removing and installing scope To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scopes-api/+bug/1450493/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1471230] Re: ping got confused about IP-adress after host unreachable
I see I've made a typo regarding icmp_seq in the output of the second run of ping (icmp_seq 1, then 2, and then 1 again, but the last one should be 3). I typed this manually, so there may be other typos as well. But I can't see any typos regarding the main point, I got the ping replies from my own IP address, with times on the order of 0.400ms. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471230 Title: ping got confused about IP-adress after host unreachable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iputils/+bug/1471230/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1457910] Re: Unity panels steal input events while under (some) fullscreen windows
Mh, this makes things harder to fix... The fact is that the shell is not drawn when there are some fullscreen windows around, and that's fine... But compiz adds it back on top when a fullscreen window has no focus. This means that to fix the issue we can both show the shell on top of these windows (not sure the best option), or make the shell not to take input in this scenario... And both of these cases are quite tricky to handle (especially the former). ** Changed in: unity Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: unity Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: unity Milestone: None = 7.3.3 ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457910 Title: Unity panels steal input events while under (some) fullscreen windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1457910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1471230] [NEW] ping got confused about IP-adress after host unreachable
Public bug reported: I tried pinging an IP address on an internal network. My IP is 10.0.0.95, and I'm trying to ping 10.0.0.96. So on the initial run, ping claims it got a ping reply from 10.0.0.95, which isn't the address I'm pinging. It's my host, and it's normal to get the initial ICMP Destination Host Unreachable messages from the local IP when ARP fails. I almost immediately reran ping, and now the host was up from the start, and see responses coming from the actual host that I'm pinging. Looking at the times, the ping replies appear to actually come from 10.0.0.96, or at least some other remote host, based on the time values. If I ping 10.0.0.95 (my own IP), I'm seeing time values of 0.040ms or thereabouts, so an order of magnitude faster. [Bug 1471183] Re: Using ppp0 internet not accessibe when eth0 is connected but without internet connection
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1471183/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1462489] Re: Allow apps to keep the screen on
We have a patch for QScreenSaver. The way it will work is that apps can use this from QML: import QtSystemInfo 5.0 ScreenSaver { screenSaverEnabled: false } or its pendant from C++. Unity-System-Compositor will watch the application. As soon as the application is closed, the request will be dropped and the screensaver will be enabled again, even if the app didn't explicitly release the resource before quitting. We need apparmor to allow apps to call the methods: * keepDisplayOn * removeDisplayOnRequest on interface: com.canonical.Unity.Screen and path: /com/canonical/Unity/Screen on the *system* bus. ** Changed in: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1462489 Title: Allow apps to keep the screen on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1462489/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1451946] Re: Menu disappears if a window is hidden and then shown again
I've done some quick checks, and from an Unity point of view, this is not a problem in unity side. The menus are not exported from unity- panel-service. [Bug 1471233] [NEW] Trusty update to 3.13.11-ckt22 stable release
Public bug reported: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally backported form of that patch. The 3.13.11-ckt22 upstream stable patch set is now available. [Bug 1470580] Re: unprivileged lxc containers fails with custom bridge
Indeed, on every error path lxc_user_nic should print an error message to stderr, but that doesn't end up in the log. If you simply do lxc-start -n container_name -F What do you see? On one failure case I see Quota reached, for instance. When I copy/paste your network config excerpt, it does work for me. Is it possible that x does not have an allocation in /etc/lxc/lxc- usernet for lxcbr0, but the configuration file still has 'lxc.include = /etc/lxc/default.conf' ? [Bug 1470825] Re: Onboard focus with KWin
Great log file, thank you. Here's what happens: ... 12:43:42.951 Enter 12:43:42.952 TouchBegin (master, dev_id=2) 12:43:43.066 ButtonRelease (slave, dev_id=13) 12:43:43.067 TouchEnd (master, dev_id=2) ... Two observations: 1) There are indeed touch events coming in, but only from the master pointer, none directly from the touch screen device 13. That's new, I haven't seen that happening before. Onboard sticks with mouse events (ButtonPress/ButtonRelease) in that case (meaning multi-touch won't be available). 2) The first ButtonPress event is missing, there's only a ButtonRelease. That's why there's no reaction to the first touch. When you use the mouse the initial ButtonPress event is there. I've looked into 1) a bit. The screen seems to be USB connected and probably uses the hid-multitouch kernel driver and the evdev X driver. Support for the SYNA7500 seems relatively sensitive to the kernel version. This thread reports mixed results with various kernels and failures in particular with Vivid's kernel 3.19: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2187204page=14s=34cfa4caf159096f7cce745988b1ab59 If everything else fails, trying different kernels may make sense. No idea what could cause 2) yet. I'm working on some way to reproduce it. Is there anything I should know about your setup? Is this plain KWin without any other bits of KDE? Things you could try: Set Preferences-Keyboard-Advanced-Touch input to none. If there's no change (likely) set Preferences-Keyboard-Advanced-Input event source to GTK. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1470825 Title: Onboard focus with KWin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/onboard/+bug/1470825/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have added some retry logic to nova-compute and it appears that openvswitch is taking around 80s to start: neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 1s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 3s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 3s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 5s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 5s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 7s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 7s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 9s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 9s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 11s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 11s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/pre-start, process 3055 Attempting to start neutron-ovs-cleanup start: Job is already running: neutron-ovs-cleanup Recheck neutron-ovs-cleanup status in 13s neutron-ovs-cleanup start/running 2015-07-03 17:51:40.660 15690 DEBUG nova.servicegroup.api [-] ServiceGroup driver defined as an instance of db __new__ /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/nova/servicegroup/api.py:65 2015-07-03 17:51:43.053 15690 INFO nova.openstack.common.periodic_task [-] Skipping periodic task _periodic_update_dns because its interval is negative 2015-07-03 17:51:44.320 15690 DEBUG stevedore.extension [-] found extension EntryPoint.parse('file = nova.image.download.file') _load_plugins /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/stevedore/extension.py:156 2015-07-03 17:51:44.602 15690 DEBUG stevedore.extension [-] found extension EntryPoint.parse('file = nova.image.download.file') _load_plugins /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/stevedore/extension.py:156 2015-07-03 17:51:44.603 15690 INFO nova.virt.driver [-] Loading compute driver 'libvirt.LibvirtDriver' I'll have an SRU patch up shortlty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nova in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471022 Title: [SRU] race between nova-compute and neutron-ovs-cleanup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nova/+bug/1471022/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
