[Bug 1525207] Re: xserver-xorg-video-intel slow perfomance, needs updating
@tjaalton Xenial has git 20151019 (2:2.99.917+git20151019-1~exp1ubuntu1). Since there is no information on the git commit, I assume ef859c807a4bfad7c8a01a1d63f354f3ef310db5 from that date. By building the drivers on commit ef859c807a4bfad7c8a01a1d63f354f3ef310db5 on 15.10. I checked the daily build on 16.04, and the issue is there as well. However, by using the latest driver on commit c4565979572b61cf7fc0b931333c032c88b259f1, the issue is not visible. I would like to request the driver in 16.04 to be updated, if possible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525207 Title: xserver-xorg-video-intel slow perfomance, needs updating To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1525207/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1525573] [NEW] No key combination to switch/cycle tabs
Public bug reported: While Ctrl-T and Ctrl-W work to open and close a tab, there is no key combination to cycle through the tabs (in the active window). This is inconvenient, as Thunar provides good keyboard-oriented interface otherwise. Consistency with other applications in terms of the chosen key combination would be desirable. Just for reference: * All major web browsers use Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab to cycle through tabs in forward/reverse order -- this is a quite natural key combination from my point of view. * Ctrl-Tab cycles through the various parts of the whole user interface (sidebar, location, tabs pane) -- this is somewhat confusing to me, though probably in line with other Xfce applications. * Xfce terminal emulator uses Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn to cycle through tabs in forwards/reverse order. Hello, I plan on trying again tomorrow, in the light of your comment. I thought I told the installer to map / to sda (SSD) and /home to sdb (HD), but I certainly missed something. I've not seen the option to say where to install grub (but I have to admit I didn't look for either!). Anyway, I guess it should by default use the partition choosen for / ? I'll keep you informed. [Bug 1521972] Re: Touchpad not working after installing of Ubuntu 15.10
enstine, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder)? Install instructions are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds . This will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the latest kernel did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this issue is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon, next to the word Tags, located at the bottom of the report description: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Where X, and Y are the first two numbers of the kernel version, and Z is the release candidate number if it exists. If the mainline kernel does not fix the issue, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Please note, an error to install the kernel does not fit the criteria of kernel-bug-exists-upstream. [Bug 1506914] Re: Screen brightness not working using keyboard shortcut fn+F5/F6 not working.
Successfully installed the latest 4.4 kernel and can confirm that the problem persists. I would like to point out another bug most likely related to it. When resuming from stand-by the keyboard backlight is off and screen is on full power i.e. not restored from when computer went to sleep. When pressing the shortcut buttons to change backlight or screen brightness it immediately switches to the last configuration, from 0 to 50 % for example. [Bug 1506736] Re: Server crashes after undocking from docking station
Kai Mast, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder)? Once testing of the latest upstream kernel is complete, please mark this report's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. [Bug 1521721] Re: wireless adapter not working
Dmitriy, assuming you are referring to your internal adapter found in your attachment https://launchpadlibrarian.net/228121297/Lspci.txt , as per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (1.25). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything? For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report. Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible: 1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date 2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement or not. 3) If the issue is still reproducible, please mark this report Status Confirmed.
