[Bug 1558512] Re: Xorg freeze
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find. ** Information type changed from Private Security to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1558512 Title: Xorg freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1558512/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1536871] Re: [MIR] fwupd
Seth, Thanks for raising that early concern. I don't believe there is currently any enforcement of sha256. The LVFS metadata source that is configured by default (https://secure-lvfs.rhcloud.com/downloads/firmware.xml.gz) is also set to use sha1. I'll talk to upstream about sorting out both enforcement of sha256 and changing the default metadata to sha256. your system is cheating somewhere. You say your xorg version is 1.17.1, but before you said "ABI xorg-video-abi-15" that means xorg 1.15. You need if you have xorg-server-lts-vivid to instal the lts-vivid, and remove the lts-wily package. otherwise you can upgrade to the lts-wily stack but be sure you only have one, and the corresponding virtualbox version installed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424769 Title: virtualbox-guest-x11 uninstallable with mesa-lts-utopic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virtualbox/+bug/1424769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1559578] [NEW] fwupdate-signed: arch-qualified package names, but not coinstallable
Public bug reported: The fwupdate-signed source package produces binary packages that each have the architecture name: fwupdate-{amd64,arm64,armhf,i386}-signed. However, unlike in the case of grub, these binary packages are not coinstallable, as each contains the file /usr/lib/fwupdate/version. Given this, I don't see any reason to have the architecture name in the package name. I would suggest renaming all the binary packages to 'fwupdate-signed' instead. Since the fwupdate-amd64-signed binary package was already in the archive, I didn't consider this a blocker for binary NEW and have let the others in. A resolution for this bug should include appropriate transition handling for all architectures. ** Affects: fwupdate-signed (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: New ** Changed in: fwupdate-signed (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1559578 Title: fwupdate-signed: arch-qualified package names, but not coinstallable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fwupdate-signed/+bug/1559578/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1558633] [NEW] Software details page doesn't indicate available updates
Public bug reported: Using current 3.19 git, if you open the details page of an installed software which has an available update the page doesn't mention it and only has "remove" and "start" buttons.
