[Bug 1613718] [NEW] [SRU] Juju 2.0-beta15 for Xenial
Public bug reported: Juju 2.0 is not quite final, as per the risks and timeline outlined in the FFe for Xenial, bug 1545913. As such, we intend to release SRU's post-xenial release. This updates juju to the lastest 2.0 milestone version. [SRU Information] juju-core has a stable release exception, including for major version updates, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JujuUpdates. [Impact] This update brings many critical fixes and enhancements in comparison to the current beta12 release. [Bug 1612895] Re: Display freezes on 2nd+subsequent logins
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it's at least as bad with the new kernel; maybe worse. So first of all, "2nd login" doesn't reproduce the issue 100% reliably after all. I tested one last time with kernel 4.4.0-31, and the same exact problem occurred again, but on the 3rd, not 2nd login. I then rebooted into the new kernel 4.8.0-040800rc2, and was able to reproduce it, but it was after the 3rd *logout.* The machine froze on the black console screen that normally appears just momentarily after the desktop goes away but before the lightdm login screen reappears. After eventually regaining control, I logged in again and the display froze shortly before the desktop was completely drawn, more or less as expected. Unfortunately, this time Ctrl+Alt+F1 had no effect after any length of time. Having neglected to first install sshd, I had to hard reset the machine after 30 minutes or so of waiting. I haven't had that happen with the old kernel, but that could also just be luck. By the way, is it possible this bug should be against Xorg instead? The kernel version on my 14.04 installation is 4.4.0-34, or pretty close to the 4.4.0-31 kernel I'm having issues with. ** Attachment added: "kern.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1612895/+attachment/4721919/+files/kern.log ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1612895 Title: Display freezes on 2nd+subsequent logins To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1612895/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1613711] [NEW] nautilus draws line artefacts on screen background
Public bug reported: Nautilus 3.20 is having some issues drawing the background image in yakkety (see attached screenshot of two screens, one above the other): * On my laptop, it draws a grey vertical partial line from the top of the screen to approximately three launcher icons height down (in the screenshot, it is on the lower screen, although sometimes it appears on the top screen). This line is drawn irrespective of which background is chosen. I don't get this line in my yakkety VirtualBox VM, though. * It draws a grey vertical line down the right-hand side of the screen, unless you focus on the background by clicking on it, in which case the line disappears. This happens both on my laptop and also in my yakkety VirtualBox VM. * It is also doubling up icons for files in ~/Desktop (eg in the attached screenshot you can see "kernel bugs" etc are displayed twice). Only one of the two file icons responds to mouse clicks, though. If I kill nautilus the artefacts go away, which is why I assume it's a nautilus issue, along with the fact it only started happening since nautilus 3.20 got installed. [Bug 1607823] Re: Cellular connection drops out
@jibel, thanks for the logs. The sequence of registration events that I see is: D/AT ( 2080): AT< +CREG: 1,"0C94","07EEF3DF",2,0,0 D/AT ( 2080): AT< +CREG: 3,"0D16","0540FD26",2,0,0 D/AT ( 2080): AT< +CREG: 1,"0D16","0540FD27",2,0,0 Apparently the phone tries to register to cell 0540FD26 and it gets registration denied (state=3). It recovers then registration (state=1) after moving to cell 0540FD27. What is weird is that the LAC is the same for both cells (0D16). This implies that both cells belong to the same network, and therefore if the device can register to one of them it should be able to do the same with the other one. As that does not happen, this points to a modem FW error or maybe that some tuning on modem parameters is needed on our side. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1607823 Title: Cellular connection drops out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1607823/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1613677] [NEW] Package GCE's compute-image-packages
Public bug reported: Google provides daemons to run inside Google Compute Engine instances. The upstream git repo for these is [0]. These are currently packaged and released in to partner as gce-utils[1]. They are built in to cloud images from this location. [Bug 1591411] Re: systemd-logind must be restarted every ~1000 SSH logins to prevent a ~25 second delay
Ok, with everyone confirming that the systemd patch is not required, I am closing the systemd part of the bug as 'Invalid' - let's only concentrate on the dbus part here. That being said, I would not like to release a new patch for dbus downstream if the patch hasn't been fully reviewed and approved upstream. In this case I would propose to wait a bit and see if a finalized patch will be available. ** Tags removed: patch ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: Confirmed => Invalid ** Changed in: dbus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: dbus (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591411 Title: systemd-logind must be restarted every ~1000 SSH logins to prevent a ~25 second delay To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dbus/+bug/1591411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1613643] [NEW] Legitimation request starts with disabled password field
Public bug reported: After upgrading Ubuntu from 14.04.3 to 16.04.1, every legitimation request (eg. from update-manager) shows a greyed-out password box. I can enter the password then and it is accepted as intended. Hint: As I use a gnome-flashback session, the bug may have to do with focus management.
