[Bug 1629087] Re: package plasma-framework-dev 5.26.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/share/kdevappwizard/templates/cpp-plasmoid.tar.bz2', which is also in package plasma

2016-10-01 Thread Flames_in_Paradise
Using "proposed" can create quite a mess... This is risky and not really
advised. Please DON'T !

This is a simple version-mismatch (archive/proposed).

The Kubunut specific packages are currently in a transitioning process
(was blocked due to beta-2 freeze/pre-release freeze).

Pages where user/testers can follow the transittioning process for the
current development cycle:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/yakkety/+queue (statii: new, accepted, rejected,
unapproved, done)

[Bug 1627496] Re: AMD Radeon hardware features or firmware looked over by Linux 3.6.0+ kernel.

2016-10-01 Thread Valentin Quequet
Hi all,

After my description and with the logs I joined earlier, can we still
blame "xorg" for this bug ?

I very much suggest this be (upstream) "linux" at fault instead.

Another idea ?

Sincerely,
Vécu

[Bug 1621618] Re: [FFE Yakkety] Upgrade to Xen 4.7

2016-10-01 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package xen - 4.7.0-0ubuntu1

---
xen (4.7.0-0ubuntu1) yakkety; urgency=low

  * Rebasing to upstream Xen release 4.7 (LP: #1621618)
- Renamed all *-4.6* files into *-4.7*. Also moved references within
various files from 4.6 to 4.7.
- Follow previous abiname patches to create individual run-time libs
for the versioned libxen package for libxencall, libxenevtchn,
  libxenforeignmemory, libxengnttab, and libxentoollog.
- Modified debian/libxen-dev.install to pick up the additional headers
and drop one which is no longer present. And also add the new libs.
- Refreshed Debian patchesS
- Dropped transitional packages <4.6, added a set for 4.6.
- Dropped tools-allow-configure-time-choice-of-libexec-subdire.patch
  (upstream)
- Dropped ubuntu-config-prefix-fix.patch (unnecessary)
- Dropped all security patches since those were all included in
  the new upstream release.
- Added fix for FTBS on Arm due to unused static variables and
  hardening flags turned on.
- Switched dependencies of sysvinit scripts from libvirt-bin to
  libvirtd.
- Added modprobe for xen-acpi-processor (no auto-load alias) to
xenstrore init script. Otherwise there is no frequency scaling
if the driver is compiled as a module.
- Added proposed upstream fix for regression to save PV guests
with more than 1G of memory.

installed.

xen (4.6.0-1+nmu1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Drop unused patching in of $(PREFIX), $(SBINDIR) and $(BINDIR)
which are no longer used by the upstream build system.
  * Use correct/consistent LIBEXEC dirs throughout build
(Closes: #805508).

Hello Eldar, or anyone else affected,

Accepted bzr into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bzr/2.7.0-2ubuntu3 in
a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1574193] Re: ubuntu-support-status lists end-of-support packages (after EOL) as supported

2016-10-01 Thread Andy Whitcroft
Hello Matthias, or anyone else affected,

Accepted update-manager into xenial-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-
manager/1:16.04.4 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Thank you in
advance!

** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu Xenial)
Status: In Progress => Fix Committed

** Tags added: verification-needed

[Bug 1629530] [NEW] I installed a lubuntu 16.04 and connected to my home network during install but have not been able to successfully connect after installing on my american megeatrends computer sinc

2016-10-01 Thread trenessa
Public bug reported:

I'm using a belkin wireless usb adapter to connect to the internet. It
worked fine when installing from usb. Once I installed the OS to the
computer I could see my home network but could not connect to it. It
would ask for the password, I entered it, and it would ask again, and
again, never connecting. If I use my cell phone as a hot spot I connect
instantly. I've spent more than an hour on the phone with my ISP, they
don't think it's them, neither do I. I'm using the same adapter on
another computer also running lubuntu and it works fine. I don't know
if it's related but I can't shutdown my computer without pressing the
power button. I've tried to power off from the terminal, I've tried
adding acpi=force to /etc/default/grub among numerous other
recommendations I've found online. Nothing works.

[Bug 530281] [NEW] "Scratch" control should correlate to the deck speed at all times

2016-10-01 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

It would be ideal if the scratch control would work the same regardless of
whether the deck is playing or not. Specifically, can it be the "master
control" for a deck such that setting play to 1 merely sets scratch to 1? (and
lights the play button, etc.) Right now, we can't slow a playing track below
the play speed without stopping it first while simultaneously setting
scratch=1, which is a very messy hack. (That's how the SCS.3d's vinyl2 mode
works.)
(More info: currently when play==1 and scratch==0, deck speed==pitch. When
play==0 and scratch==0, deck speed==0. But when play==1 and scratch==-0.001,
speed==-1.001, so there's no way to get deck speed to be -1https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530281

[Bug 1629497] Re: sftp vfs support not using key-based authentication

2016-10-01 Thread Yury V. Zaytsev
Well, I'm not sure how we can help you. There is an option to install
from source, or else unofficial binary packages are provided here:
http://www.midnight-commander.org/wiki/Binaries . It is way to hard to
backport fixes to 4.8.15, and the other problem is you need to identify
them in the first place. I would say the only reasonable strategy would
be to request a backport of the complete package, but I'd suggest you to
wait with filling a bug for that until 4.8.18 is released and gets into
Ubuntu.
