That key actually exists on my german keyboard :-) It would be: < - no modifier > - with shift | - with right alt (also called alt-gr) I'd not at all see why your setup goes for a EU keyboard mapping in your setup, but you might try "right-alt + ". [Bug 1787270] Re: vnc won't accept remote connections
Hi Phillip, I assume you mean this section: host:d TCP connections will only be allowed from host on display d. By convention the TCP port is 5900+d. Optionally, host can be omitted in which case the server will accept connections from any host. It does in fact work as the man page says, you need to know that the base address for vnc is 5900, so setting just colon sets 5900+ and in fact binds to all IP. Example: $ qemu-system-x86_64 -vnc :7 Then from netstat -eeapn: tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:59070.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1000 261323929113/qemu-system-x You see it is bound on 0.0.0.0:5907 from 0.0.0.0:*, which seems exactly what the man page talks about. Does it behave differently for you? ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787270 Title: vnc won't accept remote connections To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1787270/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1787328] Re: smb/cifs support triggers general protection fault
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected bionic ** Description changed: Hi, I see this issues since 4.15.0-32-generic, but I have this particular smb/cifs setup for only a few weeks now, so it might after all by chance that I started to see it with this particular kernel. [Bug 1787324] [NEW] Snap policy module denies recording access to classic snaps

It sounds like only a bit, but I know we had on the initial tests quite some errors flagged which implied that there are deeper checks on the services. Quoting: "Hi Christian, open-vm-tools 10.3.0 from -proposed [3] works well in Ubuntu 18.04 destkop, ubuntu-18.04-server-amd64 and ubuntu-18.04-live-server-amd64. Check from -proposed [3] in Ubuntu 18.04 destkop: install open-vm-tools install /uninstall open-vm-tools-desktop tools service and VGAuth service are running when install open-vm-tools tools service and VGAuth service are running after install and reboot guestOS uninstall open-vm-tools 10.3.0 Check from repository deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-proposed main restricted multiverse universe In ubuntu-18.04-server-amd64 and ubuntu-18.04-live-server-amd64: install / uprade open-vm-tools tools service and VGAuth service are running when install / upgrade open-vm-tools tools service and VGAuth service are running after install and reboot guestOS uninstall open-vm-tools 10.3.0, tools service and VGAuth service are gone after uninstall tools best regards Yuhua Zou" That said, the agreed check by VMWare is done, setting verified. To know sort of an ETA, Łukasz set a longer than 7 day aging time, but I'm not sure what we want to go for - 14 days then? ** Tags removed: verification-needed verification-needed-bionic ** Tags added: verification-done verification-done-bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784638 Title: Merge latest Open-vm-tools from Debian and check if we can go for 10.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/1784638/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1783129] Re: Only "main" component enabled after install
There are several things I don't understand here. One of them is what changed after June 10. The sources.list you pasted was clearly generated by cloud-init, not by livecd-rootfs or subiquity or curtin or anything else. So for some reason, on June 10, cloud-init rewrote sources.list either when the ISO booted or when the installed system booted. Another thing I don't understand is why this breaks the daily install test for cosmic only; only main is enabled in bionic too but the tests pass there. Have some of utah's deps dropped out to universe in cosmic? A final thing I don't understand is how to fix this. I think we need to set PREINSTALLED=true during the livefs build's config step, but I don't know what other consequences this would have. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1783129 Title: Only "main" component enabled after install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1783129/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1787309] [NEW] zed not sending mail on scrub finish
Public bug reported: ZED should be sending email when scrub finishes but I do not get any email. I did update modify the zed.rc file to end the email by setting the following ZED_EMAIL_ADDR="root" ZED_EMAIL_PROG="mail" ZED_NOTIFY_VERBOSE=1 I tested to verify mail work. I did the following: echo testing | mail -s testit root I did get the mail so the mail system work. I also check syslog to see verify that zed saw the event. [Bug 1787304] [NEW] HP Bluetooth Printer Pairs but Stays Disconnected
Public bug reported: I have an HP Deskjet 460 with BT module. This printer was working via Bluetooth in Ubuntu 16.04, but now fails to connect in Ubuntu 18.04. In Ubuntu 16.04 I was able to use this doc to setup the printer: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BluetoothPrinterSetup. However, this doc is now outdated for Ubuntu 18.04 since "hidd" is unavailable. In 18.04 I can remove the device using the Settings->Bluetooth UI. Then the Deskjet 460 S/N XXX appears as "Not Set Up". Then I can double- click on the device, and it briefly shows "Connected", then "Disconnected". Now the device is in the Settings->Bluetooth UI, and when I double click the device it shows "Connection Off", Paired Yes, Type Printer, and the MAC address. I'm unable to change the "Connection Off" setting via the UI. >From bluetoothctl: > remove 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 [DEL] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Deskjet 460 S/N XX Device has been removed [NEW] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Deskjet 460 S/N XX > trust 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Trusted: yes Changing 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 trust succeeded > pair 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Attempting to pair with 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Connected: yes [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 UUIDs: 1101--1000-8000-00805f9b34fb [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 UUIDs: 1105--1000-8000-00805f9b34fb [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 UUIDs: 111b--1000-8000-00805f9b34fb [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 UUIDs: 1123--1000-8000-00805f9b34fb [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 UUIDs: 1126--1000-8000-00805f9b34fb [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 ServicesResolved: yes [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Paired: yes Pairing successful [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 ServicesResolved: no [CHG] Device 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Connected: no > connect 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Attempting to connect to 00:0C:78:51:44:D6 Failed to connect: org.bluez.Error.Failed dmesg -w from the above bluetoothctl session: [47676.543096] Bluetooth: hci0: last event is not cmd complete (0x0f) [47692.543107] Bluetooth: hci0: last event is not cmd complete (0x0f) [47711.542175] Bluetooth: hci0: last event is not cmd complete (0x0f) [47727.544169] Bluetooth: hci0: last event is not cmd complete (0x0f) Machine: ASUS_GL551JM.
