Hi Fabian For an SRU we want a targetted fix against the version in Bionic. i.e. only adding batik-constants.jar to CLASSPATH, and closing *this* bug (LP: #1791894) in the changelog. [Bug 1799038] Re: Ubuntu 18.10 does not suspend on lid close
I have figured out how to make the machine go to sleep. press alt on the shutdown menu makes the machine go to sleep and immediately wake up again. Do it again and it goes to sleep. [Bug 210472] Re: Timidity daemon doesn't play nice with pulse audio
As described in bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/timidity/+bug/1799541 starting timidity system daemon can prevent PulseAudio from gaining access to one of the sound cards in ALSA. I think, a better solution would be to change timidity to run as a user- specific service, instead of system-wide, and depend on pulseaudio or pulseaudio.socket to start first. This way we should have PulseAudio running in user mode and starting before timidity. Timidity will grab the default ALSA device, which is an alias for the pulse loopback when pulseaudio is running. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210472 Title: Timidity daemon doesn't play nice with pulse audio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/timidity/+bug/210472/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The debugfs, despite its name, is mounted by default in every linux image at /sys/kernel/debug. The officially supported dbginfo.sh script from s390tools collects data from this debugfs filesystem, therefore we do not agree that it is for debug purposes only. [Bug 1799670] Re: Crash on bootup
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799670 Title: Crash on bootup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1799670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1799665] Re: [cosmic regression] fails to parse known_hosts, resulting in SSH_SERVER_FOUND_OTHER error for hostkey verification
Added SRU information and uploaded SRU to unapproved queue. ** Description changed: Ubuntu 18.10's libssh 0.8.1 regresses parsing of known_hosts. [Bug 1799665] [NEW] [cosmic regression] fails to parse known_hosts, resulting in SSH_SERVER_FOUND_OTHER error for hostkey verification
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 18.10's libssh 0.8.1 regresses parsing of known_hosts. This happens (sometimes) if there are multiple known_host key types (e. g. ssh-rsa and ssh-ed25519), then it can happen that ssh_session_is_known_server() fails with SSH_SERVER_FOUND_OTHER [1]. I noticed this with testing Cockpit on Ubuntu 18.10 [2], which has a few test cases exercising cockpit-ssh (which uses libssh), e. g. [3]. The scenario is a FreeIPA centrally managed known_hosts file with these entries: x0.cockpit.lan ssh-rsa B3NzaC1yc2EDAQABAAABAQCv5sLKfLDuEAbTcHC3eOgJM+Ot7F077KewD4e1lGzfw300Jo4xnuPsoJEVSCR7OjsYQCnuVGlqtlavMCLFzIBNk06iTBg/nl+W+xa3CFNITbAjiBif7SeY0XL6Xeqzb1VYXNVfwKQKpcGIbDne6jyou4wRZV1eay03FHTSkd2+XKM6GOUGlkEUoPyAwYPHqoKUYiiyBxJs20l/peXVx6jsGgs2Sc6gl3KJP0TB2E7ncD1pWHGRtiNshFFVarw/YKr+Rs+KhiVS3CAAfYDhpBNWXOwTKyx2euJjAhsRF10bx6pnuadSEpT8Ufo5/YFIVAD1GHptULSzVjUoJm6ktoHB x0.cockpit.lan ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 E2VjZHNhLXNoYTItbmlzdHAyNTYIbmlzdHAyNTYAAABBBCkJ6CaqhzUhrbpbVmZ8BmZZgM3u6BukZ6HFB2a4NLQBdgpHlHbxoJ47ocTImctyFMiDi0y6vCb4tFuZgp6Krmk= root@(none) x0.cockpit.lan ssh-ed25519 C3NzaC1lZDI1NTE5INK6gcOyH4OhiKPcNr33Kl6e+wFAUy9tGFBU/o4yWkxh root@(none) Connecting to that host with the standard ssh client works: $ ssh -vv x0.cockpit.lan [...] debug1: Server host key: ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 SHA256:MgfkN6HEl+pdz0X7+6q08IVkUZOtEDzfA6V18Wm9DgA debug1: Host 'x0.cockpit.lan' is known and matches the ECDSA host key. debug1: Found key in /var/lib/sss/pubconf/known_hosts:3 [...] ad...@cockpit.lan@x0:~$ But not with cockpit-ssh.
