[Bug 1099537] Re: ubuntu-dev-scripts should be ported to Python 3

2019-09-19 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-dev-tools - 0.173

---
ubuntu-dev-tools (0.173) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Stefano Rivera ]
  * pull-debian-debdiff:
+ Don't unpack the older source package, it will often use the same
  directory as the newer one, and break.
  * merge-changelog:
+ Use ubuntutools.version.Version, to support Python 3.
  * Drop 404main, it's been totally broken for years.
  * Port all the Python scripts to Python 3, and remove Python 2 support.
Closes: #938740, LP: #1099537

  [ Dan Streetman ]
  * pull-pkg:
+ Use ubuntutools.version.Version which has strip_epoch() instead
  of debian.debian_support.Version.
  * Have ubuntu-dev-tools depend on the matching version of python3-ubuntutools.

  [ Scott Kitterman ]
  * Update requestsync to python3.  Closes: #927147

  [ Mattia Rizzolo ]
  * Explicitly require Python3 >= 3.6.

2019-09-19 Thread Csimbi
Hello,
I got this error, too:

kodi-x11: ../src/gallium/drivers/nouveau/nouveau_vp3_video.c:91:
nouveau_vp3_video_buffer_create: Assertion `templat->interlaced' failed.

Fresh install of Ubuntu Server 18.04 (+SSH +Samba)
Kodi install like so:
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kodi
sudo apt-get install xauth xorg xinit xserver-xorg-core xserver-xorg
xserver-common
sudo apt-get install lightdm
sudo adduser kodi
sudo usermod -a -G cdrom,audio,video,plugdev,users,dialout,dip,input kodi

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg-legacy
-> Select Anybody

sudo nano /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config
Add to the file:
needs_root_rights=yes

+Service:
[Unit]
Description = Kodi-standalone using xinit
After = remote-fs.target systemd-user-sessions.service sound.target
network-online.target

[Service]
User = kodi
Group = kodi
Type = simple
ExecStart = /usr/bin/xinit /usr/bin/dbus-launch /usr/bin/kodi-standalone -- :0
-nolisten tcp
Restart = on-abort

[Install]
WantedBy = multi-user.target

+Enable service:
sudo systemctl enable kodi.service

+edit /etc/security/limits.conf and add :
kodi -   nice-1

Does a workaround exist?

Thank you!

[Bug 1844728] [NEW] Lubuntu 19.04 login screen doesn't appear when using vmwgfx

2019-09-19 Thread flip101
Public bug reported:

I'm running Lubuntu in a qemu 2.12.1 VM. 18.04 works fine.

When installing a fresh Lubuntu 19.04 or dist upgrade the 18.04 version
the login screen doesn't appear anymore. Dropping to the console and
typing `startx` launches the desktop successfully.

Ubuntu 19.04 does not appear to have this problem so it's Lubuntu
specific. The bug resembles this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1832138

I use login manager sddm.

[Bug 1844726] [NEW] cant bring system back to life

2019-09-19 Thread Daniel via ubuntu-bugs
Public bug reported:

 First I install Ubuntu, than change desktop to xfce because I dislike
Unity. Than I tried to change the directory in thunderbird to /dev/sda2
but thunder bird says no rights to do so. Tunar also say no rights to
write. after change the fstab from -ro to -rw the system doesn't
restart. Trying to change the fstab from the live system wont work, the
drive can not be found.

After all I decided to reformat the drive an install ubuntu again.
Than happens this.

Information:
In my last try the disk was partitioned in two drives sda2 and sda5.
Drive sda2 for Files and sda5 for the System. I have no idea why there was no
sda1, sda3 and sda4.
120 GB SSD with 30 GB for System and 40 GB for Files, 50 GB nothing

[Bug 1842686] Re: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz [0x2723:0x0080] wireless adapter not enabled after 4.15.0-60-generic on Bionic

2019-09-19 Thread You-Sheng Yang
Hi Collin,

It takes many careful reviews before one new package can ever make its
way into Ubuntu archive, so probably it will still take a while. Before
that, you may also want to try my PPA for the latest/unofficial for
backport-iwlwifi-dkms at https://launchpad.net/~vicamo/+archive/ubuntu
/backport-iwlwifi-dkms .

I'm closing this bug as a DKMS package is the current solution for
Bionic 4.15 kernel. Please don't hesitate to reopen this issue in case
of any unexpected malfunction of the WiFi driver.
