Fortunately under KVM all virtio devices are auto activated. And for everything else just do that depending on the first decision. [Bug 1875444] Re: dl-ubuntu-test-iso in stable (rev 3) bustimicated
For the snap, this is because data_dir in distro_info is hardcoded to /usr/share/distro_info/ whichi corresponds to the version included in core18 not the version that ships with the snap itself. Version 20200427 (1754) of core18 contains the right data file with information about groovy. distro-info could be updated to allow an override of data_dir instead of using a hard coded path. Meanwhile you can either wait until latest core18 is released to stable or upgrade core18 to latest/candidate. ** Changed in: ubuntu-qa-tools Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu-qa-tools Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Project changed: ubuntu-qa-tools => distro-info (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - dl-ubuntu-test-iso in stable (rev 3) bustimicated + Cannot override data_dir [was: dl-ubuntu-test-iso in stable (rev 3) bustimicated] ** Description changed: - I can't seem to run this tool.. + in distro-info data_dir is hardcoded to /usr/share/distro-info and + cannot be relocated. + + == Original description == + I can't seem to run this tool. $ dl-ubuntu-test-iso --flavor=ubuntu --variant=desktop --arch=amd64 --release=focal --build=pending --isoroot=/storage/iso distro_info is bustimacated $ snap run dl-ubuntu-test-iso distro_info is bustimacated $ dl-ubuntu-test-iso --help distro_info is bustimacated --- $ snap list dl-ubuntu-test-iso NameVersion Rev Tracking Publisher Notes dl-ubuntu-test-iso 20200425 3latest/stable jibel - - - Maybe it's just user error and I need some direction in fixing up the command. + Maybe it's just user error and I need some direction in fixing up the + command. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875444 Title: Cannot override data_dir [was: dl-ubuntu-test-iso in stable (rev 3) bustimicated] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/distro-info/+bug/1875444/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1875708] Re: Truncated messages during shutdown
The truncated messages might just be an issue due to output buffering, but lets analyze this one by one. First of all I'm wondering more about the different PIDs in the output ... [Bug 1875708] Re: Truncated messages during shutdown
Hi Laurent, this is very odd - it is a service that just has a start/end action. I wonder how we could call this thrice on shutdown. First of all - is this reproducible and showing every time so that we can try to debug it a bit - or is it only sometimes? I'm assuming it is reproducible since you had the time to pick a camera ... [Bug 1853369] Re: [19.10] Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk"
I recently came across this issue multiple times in ansible-managed virtual environments. (Really bad) This happens to me all the time because of invalid GRUB configurations. Namingly if GRUB is set to also output to serial when there is no serial port attached to the vm. Could imagine that maybe at the time of the last kernel update, there was (accidently) some usb drive connected to the mashine of the TE wich grub now manifested and requires to map the device tree... o.O If so, both cases must not prevent a mashine from being bootable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853369 Title: [19.10] Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-microcode/+bug/1853369/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Hi, We operate archive.ubuntu.com as well as mirrors of it in various places. We're getting reports of various CI/CD jobs failing. [Bug 1876034] [NEW] apt update crashes with "KeyError: 'suite'" in cnf-update-db if index compression is enabled
Public bug reported: On all Ubuntu releases since at least 19.10, enabling compressed APT package list storage with command-not-found installed leads to this crash in the cnf-update-db hook called by apt update: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/cnf-update-db", line 26, in col.create(db) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/CommandNotFound/db/creator.py", line 93, in create self._fill_commands(con) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/CommandNotFound/db/creator.py", line 127, in _fill_commands self._parse_single_commands_file(con, fp) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/CommandNotFound/db/creator.py", line 165, in _parse_single_commands_file suite=tagf.section["suite"] KeyError: 'suite' (To enable compressed APT list storage, add Acquire::GzipIndexes "true"; to an apt.conf fragment.) [Bug 1875594] Re: multipathd failed to get udev uid, add missing path
Hi Rafael, I agree to give the approach a chance but we'd want buy in by the VMWare people just to be sure. You know, If we fix a disk type that never works that is great. But I'd want to avoid that we change behavior for a disk type that "sometimes" fails, because it might regress people for which it is working right now. So if it isn't to much effort to come up with something we can have it discussed when upstreaming to [1]. About the details - would that rule make the output of sg_id or whatever is used internally work then - or does it provide a different way for multipath to pick up an ID? Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1876020/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1875596] Re: Django Timefield(default=) gives unhelpful diagnostics
Dear Rafael, Thank you for responding to my bug report. I'm sorry I didn't provide the full information you ask for, and based on your feedback I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not. It is certainly a user error, but the bug I'm hoping to raise is with the unhelpful diagnostics, rather than my own mistake. I've provided more info below. I would be grateful if you could take a look and decide whether this qualifies as a bug - then based on your advice I will be happy to re-open the bug or not. Steps to reproduce the bug: - Define a model class as follows class Test(models.Model): testfield = models.TimeField(default=datetime.timedelta(0)) # I acknowledge this is a user error but it is accepted by Python, and by makemigration. = run makemigration (which works OK) and migrate (which fails, giving the output described above). Desired output: An error message from the migrate command, stating that a TypeError occurred setting a value to this field, with either model name/field name, or a source line number. [Bug 1876022] [NEW] Wireless adapter not detected (WiFi) Acer One S1003
