Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck! [This is an automated message. [Bug 1872802] Re: Resizing any window will randomly result in graphics corruption for a fraction of a second (in Xorg sessions)
I tried to install both, Ubuntu 20.04.2 lts and pop_os 20.04, this glitch when resizing is the only problem I can't fix. Both were fresh installations so i assume it is present and I couldn't find a solution other than to enable wayland. I don't know how to change GRUB_DEFAULT_LINUX or disable a device that crashes the laptop (I can disable it with xinput and then no problem). That's why I haven't changed to wayland. I haven't seen this problem happen for a couple of months so suspect it should have been closed already for Ubuntu. [Bug 1927868] [NEW] vRouter not working after update to 16.3.1
Public bug reported: We run a juju managed Openstack Ussuri on Bionic. After updating neutron packages from 16.3.0 to 16.3.1 all virtual routers stopped working. It seems that most (not all) namespaces are created but have only the lo interface and sometime the ha-XYZ interface in DOWN state. The underlying tap interfaces are also in down. neutron-l3-agent has many logs similar to the following: 2021-05-08 15:01:45.286 39411 ERROR neutron.agent.l3.ha_router [-] Gateway interface for router 02945b59-639b-41be-8237-3b7933b4e32d was not set up; router will not work properly and journal logs report at around the same time May 08 15:01:40 lar1615.srv-louros.grnet.gr neutron-keepalived-state-change[18596]: 2021-05-08 15:01:40.765 18596 INFO neutron.agent.linux.ip_lib [-] Failed sending gratuitous ARP to 62.62.62.62 on qg-5a6efe8c-6b in namespace qrouter-02945b59-639b-41be-8237-3b7933b4e32d: Exit code: 2; Stdin: ; Stdout: Interface "qg-5a6efe8c-6b" is down May 08 15:01:40 lar1615.srv-louros.grnet.gr neutron-keepalived-state-change[18596]: 2021-05-08 15:01:40.767 18596 INFO neutron.agent.linux.ip_lib [-] Interface qg-5a6efe8c-6b or address 62.62.62.62 in namespace qrouter-02945b59-639b-41be-8237-3b7933b4e32d was deleted concurrently The neutron packages installed are: ii neutron-common 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - common ii neutron-dhcp-agent 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - DHCP agent ii neutron-l3-agent 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - l3 agent ii neutron-metadata-agent 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - metadata agent ii neutron-metering-agent 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - metering agent ii neutron-openvswitch-agent 2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - Open vSwitch plugin agent ii python3-neutron2:16.3.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron is a virtual network service for Openstack - Python library ii python3-neutron-lib2.3.0-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all Neutron shared routines and utilities - Python 3.x ii python3-neutronclient 1:7.1.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 all client API library for Neutron - Python 3.x Downgrading to 16.3.0 resolves the issues. ** Affects: neutron (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1927868 Title: vRouter not working after update to 16.3.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/neutron/+bug/1927868/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1876999] Re: No system-config-samba package in 20.04 ?
It is absolutely regrettable to have eliminated System-config-samba for focal Fossa. We are working on PC for more than thirty years, running on Linux and Mac for twelve years and System-config-samba was very easy to configure our private network at office and home; it was safe and worked very well with a lot of different machines and OS. Now, some machines can't get in the Intranet because there old OS are not compatible with NFS or SSH.I hope that developers will get a solution -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876999 Title: No system-config-samba package in 20.04 ? [Bug 1887098] Re: Installing python-is-python3 should affect pip as well
FWIW, since 20.1.1-1 python3-pip provides a pip binary equal to pip3. There is no pip2. And there is no 2.7 pip library that it execute. So, I'm not sure this bug is fixable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887098 Title: Installing python-is-python3 should affect pip as well To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-pip/+bug/1887098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1927860] Re: Unable to turn on Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Integrated Webcam HD IR emitters
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1927860/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1927863] [NEW] virt-v2v missing in ubuntu 21.04 (and 20.10)
Public bug reported: Hi, trying to use virt-v2v to import a vmware vmx file into libvirt and trying to use virt-v2v, but Can't find it. Seems (no longer) packaged into libguestfs-tools, and can't find it elsewhere in the repository. Checked with ubuntu 21.04 and 20.10 both amd64. manpage exists until groovy (20.10) on: http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/groovy/en/man1/virt-v2v.1.html. [Bug 1909171] Re: sddm-greeter segfault
I'm also affected by this bug. There is always a "RIP Code" warning available through dmesg, after crashing of sddm-greeter. Same graphics: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] RS482M [Mobility Radeon Xpress 200] driver: radeon Acer 5100 with Turion TL-60 CPU I use Lubuntu. My work around for anyone wanting something usable is Ctrl-Alt-f2 to the terminal, logging in and installing xdm or wdm, at the end of the installation it lets you choose a new display manager, choose xdm if it is what you installed. And it works, you can log in and use it normally. I have not tested other Desktops Environments. Everything works under LXqt: 3D Screensaver, Firefox, video playing, etc. So, If this is a mesa bug, why everything else works? And only sddm-greeter dies? It stands to reason that sddm-greeter does not do anything more complicated or graphics intensive than Firefox, Mplayer or the 3D screensaver. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1909171 Title: sddm-greeter segfault To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/1909171/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
