@rcandres and @eberger and others, I'm glad that I'm not the only one that uses bookmarks extensively and wanted *show in folder* functionality ;-) BTW [Bug 1747200](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1747200) has now been resolved, so the target/selected folder will now scroll into view. Public bug reported: I don't have any idea what the problem is nor am I familiar with bug reporting and doing it the way you might want me to. Obviously there is a problem though. I keep getting some kind of error prompts but I don't recall what they say exactly nor have I save the information in any way. I thought that the error reporting system was designed in such a way as to collect that information and report it with minimal or no user input - so that end users are able to get stuff reported and fixed when they aren't all techy about stuff and don't want to do what I'm doing now. This started with o/s prompt and clicking the button to submit a report. I was then prompted (by the o/s to enter my password - system password for the o/s). Next thing I'm taken here - tab opens up in my browser and I'm being put through this. I look at this page - this page here where I'm typing - and I see there is a question "In' what package did you find this bug?" Really? Seriously? Did information not get collected and being submitted with THIS submission? If not then what is the point?! [Bug 1959993] [NEW] SRU of LXC 4.0.12 to focal (upstream bugfix release)

Only the latest upstream release gets full support from the upstream developers, everyone else is expected to first update to it before receiving any kind of support. This should qualify under the minor/micro upstream bugfix release allowance of the SRU policy, letting us SRU this without paperwork for every single change included in this upstream release. [Bug 1959980] Re: Whole system randomly freezes since kernel update to 5.4.0-97
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1959980/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1959964] Re: Monitor won't wake after monitor is put to sleep
To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1959964/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1959866] Re: lubuntu jammy - unable to submit bug via `ubuntu-bug calamares`
Thanks Brian, for correcting package; that explains why apport-collect could not be run ! I've rebooted same daily on same box & now run apport-collect. I've also added a link in original description to the calamares bug report that was initially filed online (browser) BUT I did run `apport- collect` DURING THE SESSION I experienced this issue. It's not an installed system, but Lubuntu jammy daily running live, the installation failed making me want to run `ubuntu-bug`. lubuntu@lubuntu:~$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on tmpfs487M 7.5M 479M 2% /run /dev/sdb11.9G 1.9G 0 100% /cdrom /cow 2.4G 122M 2.3G 5% / /dev/disk/by-label/writable 13G 2.4M 12G 1% /var/log tmpfs2.4G 0 2.4G 0% /dev/shm tmpfs5.0M 4.0K 5.0M 1% /run/lock tmpfs2.4G 500K 2.4G 1% /tmp tmpfs487M 72K 487M 1% /run/user/999 (this will be what it looked like before calamares was started; but may differ to where I was on calamares crash/end...I can re-create rather easily currently; as I've switched Lubuntu QA-focus to 20.04.4 a few days ago so this box will have 20.04.4 rather regularly re-installed to it.. it's possible the issue relates to my attempt to install OVER an encrypted disk install; details are in the other report; exploration of a filed lubuntu bug - just seeing if that install would work really... As such, failures to install due to insufficient space on a partition, or failure to partition a disk that was previously working should be investigated as possible regressions. + This is a corner case in general since there is no requirement to allocate a separate partition for /boot in the default configuration, and if you are using a non-default configuration where /boot must be a separate partition, you probably also don't have a disk so small that an additional 256MB of disk usage is a problem. + + --- + The kernel in Jammy is a bit larger than the one in Focal and our previous /boot partition size calculation (LP: #1716999) likely didn't take into account adding modules like nvidia to the initramfs. Subsequently, we need to revisit the size calculations for Focal. I'm utilizing cryptsetup and nvidia modules and have a 164M initrd when using lz4 (the default in Focal) compression. Using the same formula we previously did we end up with this: 2* (3*11 + 4*164 + 11) = 1400 So modifying the maximum size to 1536 seems reasonable, the current minimum is 512 which is actually a bit too small for an initrd with less modules e.g.: 2* (3*11 + 4*62 + 11) = 584 So the minimum should also be increased to 768. The default compression level for Jammy is currently being discussed and until that is decided we shouldn't make changes to partman-auto for Jammy. ** Also affects: partman-auto (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: partman-auto (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: partman-auto (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959971 Title: increase /boot partition size To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-auto/+bug/1959971/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1959970] [NEW] Microphone-mute LED regression with 5.13.0-28 kernel update
Public bug reported: The bug 1955691 kernel update introduces undesirable behaviour on the HP Spectre x360 - the mic-mute LED is now lit at system startup, even though the microphone is NOT MUTED. This is undesirable because it is giving the user incorrect information; and also because the LED is a rather attention-grabbing vivid orange, which is distracting to have lit. After logging in to GNOME, opening the Sound settings and toggling the microphone mute state does cause the LED to follow future changes. [Bug 1959416] Re: WebGL broken in headless mode
The snap version of Chromium has now been updated to 98.0.4758.80. In this version, both --use-gl=swiftshader-webgl and --use-gl=swiftshader allow WebGL to work in headless mode. I definitely tried --use-gl=swiftshader in my tests with the previous snap version (my software had already been setting that flag by default), and it appeared to have no effect. I've done some additional tests with 97.0 and 98.0 versions of google- chrome and the .deb Chromium packages, and as far as I can tell, in version 97.0 the swiftshader flag is ignored (whether I use it or not, the renderer is reported as ANGLE, but with additional information about a SwiftShader device and driver), but in 98.0 it is being respected again (when I use the flag, the renderer is reported as "Google SwiftShader"). But in addition to this, WebGL doesn't work in headless mode with the default ANGLE renderer in the Chromium snap (but it *does* work in both the Chromium .deb package and in Google Chrome). Is that a bug, or a permanent limitation of the snap (because of some security restriction)? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959416 Title: WebGL broken in headless mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1959416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1959964] [NEW] Monitor won't wake after monitor is put to sleep
Public bug reported: System is Ubuntu 21.10 (fully updated Feb. 3 2022) on x64 (AMD) with an AMD discreet graphics card (a couple versions old now) running on Wayland. System has run well on this install for years, but a recent update leaves me unable to wake the display after the lock screen puts the monitor to sleep. I'm not aware of any way to recover the system short of REISUB and that's dirty. Specifically I get no reaction from mouse or keyboard, CTRL-ALT- BACKSPACE has no effect (not sure if it's supposed to work on Wayland, I did enable it previously). System is not sleeping, fans are running, it's just unresponsive. [Bug 1643249] Re: Amavisd-new refuses to start (Can't connect to TCP port 10024 on 127.0.0.1 [Permission denied])
I could not reproduce this issue in a clean bionic installation. OTOH, I could not reproduce it in a clean yakkety installation either. Is anyone still affected by this issue? Reinhold, if you are still affected here, would you be able to provide a reproducer for the issue that shows it still affects bionic or any later version of Ubuntu? Until then, I am decreasing the importance of this bug (since no one else seems to be affected) and marking it as incomplete.
