HI Sergio, There is no core dump, nor I am not aware I can do that. Is there any way you suggest to fix the sssd getting killed multiple times on multiple servers running this Ubuntu version 16.04(4.4.0-178-generic). [Bug 1883614] Re: sssd got killed due to segfault in ubuntu 16.04
Are you able to identify anything that can trigger the crash? - Nothing found except the segafult I found, no load, no OOM, no IO, etc. The machine was really quiet at that time when crashed - most of the activity seems to be after the event, which is likely the sssd restart. Is anything else crashing in a similar way on the same system? Random segmentation faults may indicate a memory corruption issue. - No only the SSSD Did the rpcmgr segfault happen on the same machine or on a different one, as the system hostname in the log snippet suggests? If it happened on a different machine, do you have any reason to think it's related to the sssd crash? - It's from different machine. I found this at just the second before `sssd` got killed. Could you please include a fuller version of the system logs? - Sure. ** Attachment added: "syslog.5" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sssd/+bug/1883614/+attachment/5385363/+files/syslog.5 ** Changed in: sssd (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1883614 Title: sssd got killed due to segfault in ubuntu 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sssd/+bug/1883614/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1310071] Re: Low graphics mode on logout
I have a Dell Inspiron 5448 with hybrid graphics: Intel HD 5500u (i7, integrated) and a AMD R7 M265 (dedicated). I have this same bug. From a fresh installation of Ubuntu 14.04.2, tried to install: 1.- fglrx-updates from Additional Drivers. Bug appeared and flaky graphics with both cards. 2.- purged/removed fglrx-updates and installed fglrx from Additional Drivers. Bug persisted and flaky graphics still. 3.- purged/removed fglrx and downloaded the drivers directly from the AMD site (amd-driver-installer-14.501.1003-x86.x86_64). Installed and the bug persisted but it seems that the graphics are more stable now. (no repeated text and no overheating). The bug appears specifically when I switch to the Intel integrated graphics and logout. This doesn't happen when I logout with the AMD graphics. The bug is also described here https://community.amd.com/message/1303774 . I get the black screen and the message "this system is running in low-graphics mode" (sometimes with cursor, sometimes without). Whenever I try to logout though, I get the following message (see picture). No matter how many times I restart and my system is already updated. The only way to avoid the black screen is to never logout when using the integrated Intel card. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2015-05-23 02:43:39.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer-updates/+bug/1310071/+attachment/4402788/+files/Screenshot%20from%202015-05-23%2002%3A43%3A39.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1310071 Title: Low graphics mode on logout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer-updates/+bug/1310071/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1355446] [NEW] Hicks-Sound when jumping inside mp3-file during playback
Public bug reported: Version currently installed: gst-plugins-ugly0.10 (0.10.19-2ubuntu5) Affected Distro/System: The bug occures on all systems i've tested: Kubuntu 14.04.1 x64/openSuse 13.1/Debian 7 with diffrent Hardware (intel, amd, onboard audio and high end dedicated audiocard). So it should be a software bug. Bug is many years old, i can remember since ubuntu 8.04. How to reproduce: 1. Open an audiplayer like gmusicplayer, exaile, vlc, amarok, clementine etc. and play an mp3-musicfile (CBR/VBR or bitrate doesnt matter). 2. Now, during playback, use your mouse to jump to a diffrent position inside the mp3-file and repeat this action several times. You now should often notice a short "Hicks" when jumping. It seems that there is an 0.1-0.2 sec. long overlapping between music played at the moment and music at the point you jump to (puffer problem). There is a recorded ogg-file as attached to this report, where you can hear the "hickses". Further facts: - This happens only with mp3-files (flac, wmv, oga, wave -> no problem) - When i use an audioplayer with wine, all works fine Workaround: Installation of jack-soundserver and an increase of latency fix the problem ** Affects: gst-plugins-ugly0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "hicksbug-sample.ogg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1355446/+attachment/4174807/+files/hicksbug-sample.ogg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1355446 Title: Hicks-Sound when jumping inside mp3-file during playback To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins-ugly0.10/+bug/1355446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
