[Bug 1413903] [NEW] In Audio and Video system settings, the 'Front Left, Front Right' audio testing buttons do not play any sound.

2015-01-23 Thread /ADM
Public bug reported:

Latest Kubuntu 15.04 alpha
System Settings version 5.1.95 (KDE Frameworks 5.6.0)

1. Go to System Settings (KDE Applications Menu - System Settings in
favourites)
2. Scroll down and enter the 'Multimedia' section
3. Click on the 'Audio Hardware Setup' tab
4. Ensure correct audio settings are present and then scroll down
5. Click the Front Left, Front Right buttons
6. Observe how no sound is played.

I tested the volume slider as that plays audio when it is moved up and
down and also played some audio files and sound is correctly played.

** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

[Bug 860802] [NEW] Oneiric update from kernel 3.0.0-11 to 3.0.0.12 crashes Grub2

2011-09-27 Thread adm
Public bug reported:

after Oneiric kernel's update my notebook (Joybook 5100G, Centrino, ATI Radeon
9600) is stucked at black screen with thick white underscore, not responding to
any keys or their combinations.
moreover, even full reinstall of Oneiric (with grub's reinstalling, of course)
does not help - after succesfull reinstallation system stucked again before
grub's menu.

root filesystem is on the sda3, booting (via ubuntu.bin) starts normally
from the sda1 with XP bootloader.

combinations.
+ after Oneiric kernel's update my notebook (Joybook 5100G, Centrino, ATI
Radeon 9600) is stucked at black screen with thick white underscore, not
responding to any keys or their combinations.
moreover, even full reinstall of Oneiric (with grub's reinstalling, of
course) does not help - after succesfull reinstallation system stucked again
before grub's menu.

root filesystem is on the sda3, booting (via ubuntu.bin) starts normally
from the sda1 with XP bootloader.
