[Bug 2052929] Re: failed autopkgtests for evolver vs glibc 2.39 on amd64

2024-09-27 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Hello Simon, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gcc-14 into noble-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-14/14.2.0-4ubuntu2~24.04 in a
few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
noble to verification-done-noble. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-noble. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 2076227] Re: shim(-signed) NX support feature freeze exception request

2024-09-26 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
It is late, and post Beta - which is unfortunate. However, I still feel
it makes sense to get it into oracular. I discussed this with Mate
earlier and the good part about this is that it should be easily
revertible in case we notice issues.

Let's proceed, but I would request doing lots of additional testing of
the dailies and keeping an eye out for reports.

This is as Juerg mentioned. Please include more information about the

Please help us by testing this new package. See

jammy to verification-done-jammy. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-jammy. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at

advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in

failed-noble.

[Bug 2079803] [NEW] ubuntustudio jammy images fail to build due to v4l2loopback-dkms

2024-09-06 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Public bug reported:

[Impact]

Studio builds are failing, because they try to install v4l2loopback-dkms
which is deprecated and actually no longer seeded by studio. Since
livecd-rootfs installs packages via tasks, not seeds directly, the
package is still being pulled in and fails to build with latest kernels.

We need this fixed for 22.04.5.

[Test Case]

Make sure studio images build again.

[Regression Potential]

Only build failure.

[Bug 2077978] Re: [SRU] [agx] eth0 is not a predictable_names

2024-09-03 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Hello Rémy, or anyone else affected,

Accepted nvidia-tegra-defaults into jammy-proposed. The package will
build now and be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-tegra-defaults/1.3~22.04.2
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
jammy to verification-done-jammy. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-jammy. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 2077978] Re: [SRU] [agx] eth0 is not a predictable_names

2024-09-02 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
This looks good, however the test case seems to be non-obvious. I assume the
test case means 'install proposed package on a tegra device and see if eno1 is
present?
I was also thinking about the case of installing this on non-tegra hardware.
You mention unexpected behavior, but what is the worst case scenario here?
