2016-07-20 Thread 5a54a
See upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617383

[Bug 1449795] Re: keys not showing up after creation

2016-07-20 Thread 5a54a
I also thought I had this bug (Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04), but apparently
Seahorse (or gpg2) takes a quite some time to make the keys before they
are visible in Seahorse (or by command: gpg2 --list-secret-keys). But
after some time (do not know how exactly how long) keys are visible by
command and in Seahorse (and maybe even restart needed?). Had this
experience multiple times when making news keys.

Maybe change bug description to: takes a very long time before new gpg
keys are visible in Seahorse (or by command).

[Bug 1458005] Re: Enabling "Screen Sharing" doesn't activate vino-server in 15.04

2016-06-28 Thread 5a54a
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1518813 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1518813

Small correction on post #2:
When using "Automatic start Vino: add "/usr/lib/vino/vino-server" to Startup
Applications Preferences." first you ALSO have to enable vino server in dconf:
- Open dconf Editor
- Search for 5900 (or open org/gnome/desktop/remote-access)
- Place a checkmark with "Enabled"

Although VNC is now enabled automatically after every boot, it still
does not show in the Screen Sharing settings.

[Bug 1577198] Re: Imported gpg keys do not show up in Seahorse 3.18.0

2016-06-17 Thread 5a54a
** Description changed:

After clean install of Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04 LTS I tried to import all my
previous exported gpg keys. Although it seems the keys are imported,
they do not show up in seahorse (Passwords and Keys). Also Evolution did
not find to proper keys to decrypt messages.

It seems however that the keys have been imported under gpg1 in stead of
gpg2. This can also be confirmed with the list command (gpg --list-key
  and gpg2 -- list-keys).

Importing all keys by command (gpg2 --import Multiple_Keys.asc) seems to
  work.

[Bug 1458005] Re: Enabling "Screen Sharing" doesn't activate vino-server in 15.04

2016-06-08 Thread 5a54a
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1518813 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1518813

Bug is still valid for Ubuntu Gnome 16.04. Enabling "Screen Sharing" in
control center does not activate Vino VNC server. Activating Vino VNC
server by terminal "vino-preferemces" and selecting "Allow others users
to view/control desktop" also does not work. Same by opening dconf
editor (org/gnome/desktop/remote acces) checking "enabled" does not
start vino.

Only solution that did work for me:
- Everytime after a restart following command by terminal:
"/usr/lib/vino/vino-server"
- Automatic start Vino: add "/usr/lib/vino/vino-server" to Startup Applications
Preferences.

Did cost me some time to solve this. Hope this (duplicate) bug (and
orginal bug #1518813) will be solved as this seems very user friendly.

(Added my comment to this bug as I found this a much better description
of the issue than description with #1518813. Maybe even add "VNC" to the
description? I think other users will find this (temporary) solution
therefor quicker.)

[Bug 1211110] Re: network manager openvpn dns push data not updating system DNS addresses

2016-05-11 Thread 5a54a
Please ignore my answer above. It does solve my problem with the OpenVPN
connection, however is does not seem to solve isseu regarding the
updating of the DNS problem completely. I seems like the DNS from the
OpenVPN server is being used, but also other DNS ip's (from my router)
are still being used.

[Bug 1211110] Re: network manager openvpn dns push data not updating system DNS addresses

2016-05-11 Thread 5a54a
Did a upgrade from Ubuntu-Gnome 15.10 to 16.04 (and also a clean install
of 16.04). 16.04 did totally break some of my OpenVPN connections.
However manually commenting out dnsmasq in NetworkManager did resolve my
problem (see post #20).

What is the reason for dnsmasq to be active by default? Shouldn't it be
turned off by default?

[Bug 1464697] Re: Enable encryption as per design mock up

2016-05-02 Thread 5a54a
Also like to upvote this request.

Was kind of shocked full device encryption is not available on BQ
Aquaris M10 Ubuntu tablet (even not in the long run, see bug 1446893) as
this is already years available in regular Ubuntu (and of course now
also in iOS, Android, BlackBerry, etc.). Did not expect this not to be
present. Renders the device currently quite useless as I'm not willing
to put personal information (e-mail, photos, etc.) on an unencrypted
device.

[Bug 606365] Re: unable to import config with inlined ca, cert, key or tls-auth

2016-05-01 Thread 5a54a
Had no problem importing pfSense ovpn file (with separate p12 and key
files) in 15.10. Now in 16.04 LTS cannot import the same files anymore:

"Cannot import VPN connnection

[Bug 1577198] [NEW] Imported gpg keys do not show up in Seahorse 3.18.0

2016-05-01 Thread 5a54a
Public bug reported:

After clean install of Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04 LTS I tried to import all my
previous exported gpg keys. Although it seems the keys are imported,
they do not show up in seahorse (Passwords and Keys). Also Evolution did
not find to proper keys to decrypt messages.

gpg2. This can also be confirmed with the list command (gpg --list-key

work, however only one (1) personal secret key is shown in Seahorse, an
