well, it was error produced but terminator was still open. When i reported the apport traces I didnt see it was still open. Neverthless it gives an annoying error popup. this happened when I did a Ctrl + Shift + E from a window which was running screen + irssi. I am just typing this comment from Intrepid Alpha 6 Live CD and my Wifi LED is working again after several months. Yay! It keeps blinking when there is some data transfer or connetion and remains on if no Active connection. Details apart it never used to be turned on for the past 5-7 months. But now it works again! Mine is a Dell XPS M1210 with iwl3945 drivers. In libgtk 2.13 the macro GtkSignalFunc seems to be deprecated (Source: http://library.gnome.org/devel/gtk/unstable/api-index-deprecated.html) By commenting out the GTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED flag in Config.h of the src package, the package builds successfully. I will mail the upstream and ask if there would be any effects on the functionality of the package with the above change and also inform them the same.
