[Bug 1322728] Re: VPN Connection Failed With 2 Factor Authentication

2018-01-09 Thread Adam Koczur
Now that https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751842 has been
closed, could you please merge the upstream changes and fix the Ubuntu
package, as well?

For those of you chaps and chapesse who can't wait for Canonical to fix
this, you can try out my PPA where I've just published nvidia-331 and
nvidia-331-updates that should build against linux kernel 3.19
flawlessly. The packages come with absolutely no warranty, you have been
warned ;)

2015-05-08 Thread Adam Koczur
Yeap, it builds fine on my machine:
$ sudo dkms build -m nvidia-331 -v 331.113 -k 3.13.0-53-generic

Kernel preparation unnecessary for this kernel. Skipping...

Building module:
cleaning build area
make KERNELRELEASE=3.13.0-53-generic module
KERNDIR=/lib/modules/3.13.0-53-generic IGNORE_XEN_PRESENCE=1
IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=1 SYSSRC=/lib/modules/3.13.0-53-generic/build
LD=/usr/bin/ld.bfd.
cleaning build area

DKMS: build completed.

And btw, I guess I made a stupid mistake for which I do apologize - chose wrong
LP bug report. My original issue was related to the fact that nvidia
331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 fails to build against the upcoming (already present in
-proposed) linux-image-generic-lts-vivid kernel, which is 3.19. This bug is
about nvidia-331-updates 331.38-0ubuntu3 which, as far as I am aware, can be
easily upgraded to the official 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 by enabling trusty-updates
repo and it builds against 3.13 just fine:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates main restricted

[Bug 1066032] Re: Deadlock when reading a public key

2013-03-05 Thread Adam Koczur
This is a real shame and embarrassment that this bug is still not fixed
in the LTS even with the upstream patch being available for so long.
Importance should be high as opposed to undecided. This bug was
affecting my reverse proxy - Apache would fail every few hours which in
a production environment is absurd. To produce fixed packages it took me
half an hour, apparently Canonical need half a year.

[Bug 713385] Re: netcfg/choose_interface=auto fails to find the right interface

2012-06-19 Thread Adam Koczur
Colin, with all the respect, but I think it rather should be treated
with some higher priority. I am currently trying to deploy a batch of
new servers and because of this issue, the process cannot be fully
automated - it keeps asking me to choose networking interface, no matter
what value is assigned to 'd-i netcfg/choose_interface select'. It might
not be a problem for someone how deploys one box a year. Not to say,
that the Red Hat guy, who is sitting next to me, keeps laughing saying
how professional and enterprise grade Ubuntu is. I think debian
installer should be fixed / finished properly, at some point, as the
disk partitioner is broken, too. I know it is the other issue, but try
to preseed some more complex partition schema. This is actually edging
to depressing...

It is obviously trying to do some dodgy stuff on a first array as
opposed to the external one I have removed. I will try to reboot the
server using 2.6.35-32.64~lp904171r1 as you suggested,

[Bug 904171] Re: iscsi_trgt module crashed

2011-12-16 Thread Adam Koczur
Herton, I will probably be able to install the updated kernel, you mentioned,
this Saturday.
As regards to cciss messages, this might be caused by the fact the some time
ago I removed an external MSA60 disk array from the controller, without
restarting the server. It wasn't in use any more. For me it looks like cciss
driver is still trying to access it.
Cheers

[Bug 904171] Re: iscsi_trgt module crashed

2011-12-14 Thread Adam Koczur
Sorry, no chance. It happened on a production machine, which apart from doing
iSCSI stuff is our main NFS server. I can, however, provide you with the
configuration file if you are fancy testing upstream kernels.
The machine is running Ubuntu 10.10 and we hadn't have any problems with
2.6.35-24 nor 2.6.35-28 kernels. iSCSI target was rock stable.

[Bug 656526] Re: Device or resource busy while trying to open

2011-06-08 Thread Adam Koczur
So, it has been half a year now and this bug is still new and the importance
is Undecided? This bug is not new any more and it is critical! I have 10.10
based file server and for some reason one of its file systems got corrupted
(the other one has quotas corrupted, they need to be recalculated, but that's a
different story) and I can't use LiveCD to repair it. It should be doable
without OS restart required. Gents, some of our systems are not just a home
toys.
Can I have a clear answer when this serious issue is planned to be fixed?

[Bug 656526] Re: Device or resource busy while trying to open

2011-06-08 Thread Adam Koczur
Well, whatever it is, I know this has been fixed upstream and apparently
it's only a matter of backporting it to 10.10 and other releases.
Anyway, I am trying to backport Natty's version myself and will upload
it to my ppa once it's ready.

[Bug 656526] Re: Device or resource busy while trying to open

2011-06-08 Thread Adam Koczur
I have successfully ported Natty's e2fsprogs back to Maverick and still there
is a problem. Looks like it is related to
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=549691 which is rather LVM /
Device Mapper issue and not e2fsprogs.
Basically, I have a logical volume with ext4 on it, which got corrupted. The
filesystem is unmounted and fsck, even the recent version, keeps saying:

e2fsck 1.41.14 (22-Dec-2010)
fsck.ext4: Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/mapper/vg-trash
Filesystem mounted or opened exclusively by another program?

then:
lvchange -v -a n /dev/vg/trash
Using logical volume(s) on command line
Deactivating logical volume trash
Found volume group vg
LV vg/trash in use: not deactivating

and finally:
dmsetup remove /dev/mapper/vg-trash
device-mapper: remove ioctl failed: Device or resource busy
Command failed

Looks like I am nowhere with it...
