[Bug 85579] Re: Question mark ? in folder names makes the folder useless
Upstream fix landed in thunderbird 2.0beta1. I can confirm this is fixed in gutsy, which uses a patched version of 2.0.0.6 (2.0.0.6+nobinonly- 0ubuntu1). ** Changed in: mozilla-thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Question mark ? in folder names makes the folder useless https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 18570] Re: dpkg question for conffile /etc/login.defs
OK folks, gutsy seems not even to have the package shadow. The following is on a more-or-less standard install, the only changes being turning on compiz and installing awn. sudo aptitude show shadow E: Unable to locate package shadow sudo aptitude search shadow p libshadow-ruby1.8 - Interface of shadow password for Ruby 1.8 hmm... I have now tried feisty -> gutsy upgrades on four further machines. I think it would be fair to say that this bug has been squashed one way or another, so I'm closing this. :) ** Changed in: shadow (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- dpkg question for conffile /etc/login.defs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/18570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 17682] Re: No more than one page is printed
The upstream patch landed 2007/10/02. Current gutsy has mozilla version 1.8.1.6, and the patch seems to have been for version 1.9. Unfortunately, the current behaviour is worse - the test page (as well as upstream's simplified test page) crash firefox - launchpad bug 149029. Remains an issue in gutsy beta. [Bug 37983] Re: Case insesitive option in find dialog is broken
apparently this is the intended behaviour of the case sensitive option - in that, it refers specifically to the 'content' field and not to the file name. Personally i find this confusing - at the very least, the option should make it clear that it refers to the content field only. However, from the debian and savannah discussions, it seems as if the developers do not intend to change this behaviour, regarding it as a feature, not a bug. Should we therefore close this bug? -- Case insesitive option in find dialog is broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/37983 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can't reproduce this in gutsy beta (OOo 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu2). I've tried it from writer, calc, impress and base, i've tried searching for over a dozen different terms within both index and find. [Bug 41849] Re: Firefox with "Open in new Tab" as preferred application does not show
Fixed in current gutsy beta (1/10/07) Steps to reproduce: System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications. In the 'Internet' tab, under Web Browser, choose "Open link in new tab".This sets the command as `firefox -new-tab "%s"`. Make sure all firefox windows are closed. Find a local html file in nautilus. Double-click the file -> firefox opens, with local file displayed. :) ** Changed in: gnome-utils (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Firefox with "Open in new Tab" as preferred application does not show https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/41849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 38319] Re: Nautilus uses wrong icons for text files
Correct behaviour for this would apparently be for the nautilus window to show the same icon as in the properties dialog. This bug is fixed is fixed in current gutsy (1/10/07). gnome-panel does not crash following installation of packages, whether using the add/remove tool, apt-get, aptitude or synaptic. gnome bugzilla indicates the patch was applied at gtk 2.10 - gutsy uses 2.12 by default. ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- [apport] gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV on package installation, valgrind log required https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85776 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 105276] Re: wmp54g Linksys card wont connect to wireless router but the card and router are recognized
I can confirm that this problem affects gutsy as of 1/10/07. This is an rt61 chipset card, so this should have been solved following the introduction of rt61pci and rt2x00pci kernel modules. However the problem persists, regardless of encryption type. The various methods suggested on ubuntuforums for getting ralink chipset cards to work have no effect. I have tried three wmp54g cards in three different boxes, both x86 and amd64, all with gutsy beta. I'm told the card was working with feisty, but cannot confirm this. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed -- wmp54g Linksys card wont connect to wireless router but the card and router are recognized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105276 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
