[Bug 181050] Re: selected text in thunderbird search isn't replaced when typing
version 2.0.0.16 (20080724) and still the same. I have to clarify my report. More of a usability annoyance I would say. in a 2.0.0.9 I had an add-on GMailUI so that when I typed / I ended up directly in the search box in the top right corner. Ok select an email in the email list (not in the preview) So type / or [ctrl]-k to end up in the search box. Type something. hit enter. (notice the text keeps being selected which is strange too.) Now after you have a result or not do the above again... 1) As the text is still being selected you expect the focus is still there so you start typing does not work 2) [ctrl]-k gets the real focus back and start typing... the text is added after your last search. Result: You ALWAYS have to first click the [X] or hit [Delete] which is annoying. -- selected text in thunderbird search isn't replaced when typing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 196461] [NEW] [Hardy] Gnome does not startup after todays upgrade
Public bug reported: 30 min ago after todays upgrade I am unable to get into my gnome desktop. I can login via gdm but then I get a coloured screen with a mouse and nothing comes up. I can restart the xserver with [ctrl-alt-backspace] but it does not change anything. [ctrl-Alt-F1] gets me to tty so I could reboot (and do other stuff of course ;-)) I tried rebooting into recovery mode but this didn't help me either. Conclusion: My Hardy system is broken at the moment. Someone knows hoe to solve this? [Bug 144641] Re: displayconfig-gtk should generate an randr 1.2 configuration where possible
Standard Hardy start-up doesn't start xrandr correctly (I get a copy of my laptop monitor on the external screen) the top screen is also in a lower resolution than the maximum available. (I guess xorg doesnt detect it well enough) So with the attached code (got it from somewhere I cant remember) I do the following (and it meight be usefull for others) ./external-monitor.sh off (I also kill awn in this command as it isnt working well with screen changes yet) ./external-monitor.sh on above 1280x1024 I guess this is also very handy if you are using a projector (as you can change the resolution appropriately) Cheers, ** Attachment added: "external-monitor.sh" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12272449/external-monitor.sh -- displayconfig-gtk should generate an randr 1.2 configuration where possible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144641 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
