[Bug 536975] Re: Qcad menu entry lacks a category in lucid 10.04
Hey Anton! Thank you for your work :)! Unfortunately there does seem to be a problem with the debdiff. What seems to have happened is that you're debdiff describes the old content of the edited files as new content, and your new content as the original content. What I imagine has happened, is when running the debdiff command you compared the .dscs in the wrong order. The problem should be resolved by re-running the debdiff command, but with this syntax: debdiff original.dsc new.dsc > new.debdiff But obviously replace "original" and "new" with the correct filenames :). [Bug 537944] Re: douarnenez (France) is in a wrong place
I've talked this through with a marble developer, and he is going to report it on the kde bug tracker. The problem seems to be that the correct co-ordinates of Douarnenez are -4.35,48.1 but in the data files they are listed as 4.35,48.1 . As you can see, the negative sign was left off, which caused the location of Douarnenez to be the wrong side of Prime Meridian. [Bug 379617] Re: Missing dependency for Pessulus
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug! :) Would you please tell us what version of ubuntu you are running. Cheers, Ben ** Changed in: pessulus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Description changed: Binary package hint: pessulus - Using pessulus 2.26.0-0ubuntu1 + Using pessulus 2.26.0-0ubuntu1 under ubuntu 9.04. I've been working on a kiosk project using matchbox and gnome-panel, and pessulus gives a missing import warning with bugbuddy unless python-gnome2-desktop is installed. Therefore, I recommend that python-gnome2-desktop be added as a dependency for pessulus, as it would have saved me quite a bit of work trying to figure out where the python module for bugbuddy was located. -- Missing dependency for Pessulus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/379617 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 306876] Re: Switch to russian interface is not working
I had a look on gcompris. When it has a translation listed which you don't have installed, it does say so with a little red cross to the left of the writing, but it would be good if at the bottom of the page is said something like: - Requires package language-pack-gnome-ru-base I'll have a look at this though, and see if I can come up with a suitable patch, but i'm not great at packaging and all that so I am very sorry if it takes a while for me to complete. A bug controller might wish to change the status of this bug to "wishlist". I will update the description/summary so it mentions there already is a system for saying if language packs aren't installed, but it needs improvement. Cheers, Ben ** Changed in: gcompris (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => In Progress ** Changed in: gcompris (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Ben Crisford (bencrisford) ** Summary changed: - Switch to russian interface is not working + Translations not installed with gcompris by default. ** Description changed: - On ubuntu 8.10, if I choose russian interface, the interface remains to - be on english. + On ubuntu 8.10 (is reproducable in 9.04 also), if I choose russian + interface, the interface remains to be on english. Turns out that the required /usr/share/locale- langpack/ru/LC_MESSAGES/gcompris.mo file is located in package language- pack-gnome-ru-base The package is not installed by default, so potential gcompris users can get frustrated over the problem. I see several solutions to the problem, none of which is optimal: 1) provide gcompris-lang-XX package that would include the file or be dependent on the language-pack-gnome-ru-base 2) make gcompris-sound-ru to suggest or recommend the language-pack- gnome-ru-base 3) make gcompris to show warning from GUI that one needs to install so an so package to gain russian interface. + + NOTE: It does inform the user that the language pack is not improved with a little red cross, but it could definately be more prominant, and it doesn't explain what it means. So perhaps at the bottom of the interface: + - Requires package "example" -- Translations not installed with gcompris by default. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306876 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Well this is pretty odd :/. The bug is either a gnome bug or an X. bug, and as it worked (temporarily) when you ran "startx" I am assuming that the bug is in X. I'll add that to also effects. Hmm, thats interesting. You could do the same again and try the command "startx" (sans quotes), but i doubt it will help, and I don't expect you to try it. Could you boot normally with a USB memory stick inserted, when the black screen shows, press Ctrl+Alt+F6. It should give you a command line (if it doesn't then don't worry and post back here saying so). At the command line, log in, and then run this command: sudo cp ~/.xsession-errors /media/ Note the "sudo" at the beginning, as well at the space between "cp" and "~", and the space between "s" and "/". Replace "" with the name of your usb, i.e. the name that appears in My Computer when you are in windows, if it has spaces then I THINK you should type "name%20of%20usb" instead of "name of usb" but im not entirely sure. After you run that command it should ask you for your sudo password (likely to be the same password as your user account if you dont know it). After you hit enter it will copper the error log onto your USB. :) -- No desktop after login, after fresh install of 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381901 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hey again groovomata, If you get a chance to try with a different wireless card, perhaps a USB one, obviously, it is almost certain that is your card, but its certainly worth checking if we can. [Bug 376151] Re: Firefox will not run on new installation of Ubuntu 9.04
Hey don't suppose you could attatch a few screenshots? i.e. One when firefox is only in taskbar, and one when it is closed. And it would be really great if you could switch seconds on temporarily for the screenies in your top-panel clock. (Providing you have one). You can do this by clicking on the time/date> Edit> General> Show seconds. This would give an idea of timescale :). I didn't get a reply from the bluez developers yet. But I think we have dragged this bug report out long enough, so I will confirm it, after all it is a common problem across 3 nokia phones. I am going to confirm this. Obviously I cannot reproduce this as we have different network cards. But I think there is sufficient information to come to the conclusion that this is in fact a bug. If I am wrong I encourage anyone to correct me, and ultimately a bug controller will have to decide whether to triage this or not. [Bug 374062] Re: Can't edit while search dialog is open
A bit more information would be brill if thats ok. First of all, it would be better if you didn't rely on the title to explain the bug :). Also, could you tell us how you produced this problem in detail, because people such as me - new to kompozer might struggle to try and reproduce it. And one other thing; as I said, I am new to kompozer, and for the bug to be confirmed we need to know what you would have expected to happen when you took the actions which produced the bug. Please don't be put off by these criteria, they're just there to get bugs fixed as quickly and efficently as possible. And thank you for your bug report!
