[Bug 1822394] Re: [Dell BIOSes dated 27 Mar 2019] laptop keyboard & touchpad not working at gdm screen after boot
It's worth mentioning that even with the downgraded bios the mouse cursor frequently gets stuck requiring a screen flex to fix. In addition the downgraded bios exposes similar sticking on Windows. So I can only imagine that resolving this was the purpose of the bios update in the first place. Once updated to the latest bios cursor behaviour is good on Windows. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1822394 Title: [Dell BIOSes dated 27 Mar 2019] laptop keyboard & touchpad not working at gdm screen after boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1822394/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Thunderbird 2. Set view to "Threads with Unread" 3. Attempt to read through messages (bug most easily triggered with busy mailing lists, for instance the zfs-discuss list) 4. This seems to be related to https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8065675 The version of Java called seems to be using the CheckEndorsedAndExtDirs option and failing due to the definition of deprecated endorsed directory (see https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/release_changes.xml Java 8 Update 40 (8u40)). Hi, there. I apologize for not posting an example--I have never posted a bug report before and wasn't quite sure of the procedure. What exactly do I need to post? A screenshot? It has been brought to my attention that this bug may indeed be related to bug #138343, so if you'd like to combine the two reports, that would be fine with me. Thanks for your help! [Bug 138343] Re: evince consumes a lot of memory (1.5 GB VM)
I have had similar problems with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Also, I have set it on both continuous and non-continuous displays, and it still spikes the RAM usage to about 500MB. -- evince consumes a lot of memory (1.5 GB VM) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138343 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 152511] evince uses upwards of 500MB of RAM when viewing PDFs larger than 2 pages
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince I'm presently running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon Beta (Release Candidate), 64-bit. When I a PDF larger than 2 or 3 pages, the memory usage spikes, reaching close to 500MB before I close it down. I didn't have this problem when I had Feisty installed, which I believe used an earlier version of evince. I have noticed similar problems with other PDF readers.
