[Bug 1909805] Re: libclc-amdgcn missing files for current AMD APUs
> Where can be such a "update request" placed? As Ubuntu is a feature-freeze distribution, it won't accept new features to the software archive after the freeze date. I wonder if my `locales-launch` remote part can workaround this issue at the snap end?: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/the-locales-launch-remote-part/8729 Also according to the discussion at https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/lack- of-compiled-locales-breaks-gettext-based-localisation/3758 , can't we just simply put a copy of compiled data of all reasonable locales into the core snap? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576411 Title: UTF-8 is not very well supported inside snaps To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapcraft/+bug/1576411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1797779] [NEW] [snap] Spellchecking appears to be not working
Public bug reported: Possibly related console output: ``` (gedit:16993): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: 22:40:02.951: Error creating IO channel for /proc/self/mountinfo: Permission denied (g-file-error-quark, 2) (gedit:16993): gspell-WARNING **: 22:40:03.068: iso_639.xml: Failed to open file ?/usr/share/xml/iso-codes/iso_639.xml?: open() failed: No such file or directory (gedit:16993): gspell-WARNING **: 22:40:03.068: iso_3166.xml: Failed to open file ?/usr/share/xml/iso-codes/iso_3166.xml?: open() failed: No such file or directory ``` The check spelling window spills "Error: Spell checker error: no language set. It’s maybe because no dictionaries are installed." In the poedit snap that uses GtkSpell and Enchant to implement the spellchecking we patched the iso-codes prefix and packs all the spellchecking dictionaries to solve the issue: https://github.com/vslavik/poedit/blob/master/snap/snapcraft.yaml Also, I've packaged a Hunspell content snap that provides the dictionaries: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/the-hunspell-dictionaries-content-snap/7160 ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: snap ** Tags added: snap -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1797779 Title: [snap] Spellchecking appears to be not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1797779/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1778074] Re: `mp3splt-gtk` package is not available in Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial)
It seems that the package is dropped in Debian at the time, therefore not available in Ubuntu 16.04. I have packaged a snap package that can be installed by running the following command in the terminal: snap install mp3splt-gtk or searching "mp3splt" in the Ubuntu Software Center, or browse: https://snapcraft.io/mp3splt-gtk -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1778074 Title: `mp3splt-gtk` package is not available in Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mp3splt/+bug/1778074/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
