[Bug 1872950] Re: Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.5 and 5.6
Hi, Using the patches in the aur repository, I prepared a PPA repository for the nvidia-340. If wish you can install nvidia-340 package (supported for kernel 5.5, 5.6 series) from PPA. You can add PPA with following command. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kelebek333/nvidia-legacy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1872950 Title: Nvidia 340.108 fails to install with kernels 5.5 and 5.6 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-340/+bug/1872950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1770044] Re: plasmashell crashes on login - so I can't use my desktop system.
Btw. I was shocked that a bug in a component could bring down the whole plasma shell. Where is the design goal of decoupling of components? I mean, I love KDE, but KDEs quality seems to be dependent on every little app running there? Oh my goodness I would have expected a list of components with its status. Something like (unloaded, loaded, active, broken, etc.), but KDE running up and being stable. Something like osgi for KDE? ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770044 Title: plasmashell crashes on login - so I can't use my desktop system. [Bug 232288] [NEW] Screen Goes Black Due To Inactivity
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Linux myname 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux Description:Ubuntu 8.04 Release:8.04 Output of lspci -vvnn: http://pastebin.com/f69542282 Output of /var/log/Xorg.0.log: http://pastebin.com/f322e5d75 Output of /etc/X11/xorg.conf: http://pastebin.com/f111ec251 My laptop specs: http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/3000Series/4386sp3.shtml I'm not on gnome but xfce under Xubuntu 8.04. Basically the problem is that the screen goes black after about 20 minutes or 15 minutes of inactivity. Under my power management settings, I set it to never use screensaver and never do nothing when idle. I set everything in the settings to "Never and Do Nothing" but the problem is still their. If I move my mouse the screen turns back on. I'm afraid that this will disrupt my offline work and risk losing my unsaved work. Thanks for your time. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Screen Goes Black Due To Inactivity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232288 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
