[Bug 1074786] [NEW] Ubuntu should support MTP
Public bug reported: MTP is growing in popularity due to the use of it in modern Android devices. Whilst competing operating systems can handle MTP either out-of-the-box or via third party software, Ubuntu (or indeed, any Linux system) has no way of dealing with it without constant arcane console commands. In the event that these console commands do work, MTP is extremely slow. Considering that Android is practically dominating the smartphone market, and that Ubuntu is also growing in popularity, would it not be wise to include some level of MTP functionality in Ubuntu, as it is practically designed to be user-friendly? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1074786 Title: Ubuntu should support MTP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1074786/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 825775] [NEW] Siliencing NickServ/ChanServ
Public bug reported: When using Empathy for IRC, logging on brings up 'spammy' messages from the NickServ and ChanServ systems. It's very annoying to have two 'non- chats' open up. I would like to file this as an annoyance and ask if there is any other way to have them treated (at least at startup) ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/825775 Title: Siliencing NickServ/ChanServ To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/825775/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 385344] Re: Netbooks- Cheese video recording is laggy at higher video resolutions
I appear to suffer from the bug, with one added item (if anyone else has noticed this as well) If you get Cheese to record audio and video; the audio (and video) chops off several seconds before you actually stopped telling it to record. Also, the audio is not choppy. Not sure if this is helpful or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/385344 Title: Netbooks- Cheese video recording is laggy at higher video resolutions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cheese/+bug/385344/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 777330] Re: WiFi is unusable in Ubuntu 11.04

[Bug 777330] [NEW] WiFi is unusable in Ubuntu 11.04
Public bug reported: Using an internet connection is extremely painful in 11.04 on my ASUS x50GL laptop; the speed is terrible in comparison to 10.10. Wired connection is fine, but impractical in my house for day to day use. Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01) I am so far not able to find a workaround for this. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/777330 Title: WiFi is unusable in Ubuntu 11.04 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 771389] Re: Unity Launcher hides regardless of mouse position.
Rob Speer; I have noticed it; I find it annoying, myself. This is also why I am not going to upgrade my parents machine until a fix has been released for it. If this was intended design behaviour, then I would reason it needs to be re-thought, as, frankly, it just isn't as successful as it's intended. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771389 Title: Unity Launcher hides regardless of mouse position. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 771757] [NEW] Shotwell does not pick up on Android pictures properly.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: shotwell Using an Android device, Shotwell scans the entire directory for pictures. It also picks up pictures used by apps. Whereas it should only pick up pictures taken by the camera and sent by bluetooth. Considering that there are other camera applications which can also create thier own folders outside of the 'offical' folder. I would suggest Shotwell look for pictures taken by the phone's camera (which is marked by metadata depicting it as such) as well as scanning Bluetooth folders. (Which no apps now create their own versions of) and to ignore all other folders. As it is right now, Shotwell can pick up and remove pictures from the device which damage or make unusable applications on the phone. Requiring a reinstall of the application. ** Affects: shotwell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771757 Title: Shotwell does not pick up on Android pictures properly. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 504734] Re: Knetworkmanager cannot use GSM modems

[Bug 681996] Re: Enable (unmute) HDMI audio outputs by default
PulseAudio (at least with the 4 TV's I've tried it with) does NOT unmute these channels regardless of the profile chosen. Sound simply silently fails. What would be perhaps far more interesting (and user friendly) would be some sort of mechanism that offers to switch sound through a new device; a sort of 'plug 'n' play for speakers. But I fear that might be out of the scope of the Papercuts project. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681996 Title: Enable (unmute) HDMI audio outputs by default -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
